So how were you as a TA n00b?

Just wondering, considering all these more or less moronic newbies I see here... were you one of them when you were new?

Me? Oh yes, certainly. I complained about anything that wasn't blatant supersaw trance, called Scooter techno (and tried to convince others), flamed The Prodigy a lot (ack, shameful memories) and generally acted like an idiot. It seemed to really get to people, one even PM'd me and threatened to tell the mods (that he apparently knew well). I've somewhat moved on from that phase.

So, were you an idiot when you were new here?

I think I'm an alright n00b.

Are we talking about in the c0r? or on TA in general? i think there's a difference between "acting" here in the cOr and every other place on TA

Ygrene is a state of being that doesn't change. It just ages.

I came in here like I owned the place. I didn't have time to wait around for people to accept me or not, and fuck that if I was gonna try and "prove" myself.

Although when I started posting in here, people weren't as harsh on n00bs as they are now.

I was told that I have much to learn, as well as suggestions to real progressive house tracks...

But times have changed, if I were to post that now I'd get flamed up and down and left and right a little bit

i spent my n00b days on DI.fm forums (my first post on there was about a mislabeled PVD set that was actually a DJ Irish set that i downloaded on Kazaa or Napster or some shit)... i lurked on TA for a long time but i didn't post because i saw that lots of people were rude assholes who liked to pwn the n00bs.

although i've probably had my n00b moments...

Me too and it's amazing the amount of people who consider you a noob in music because of your post count. Your experience is not your post count. Some people come in here with a hell of a lot of knowledge who are newbies and give great responses and I respect them for it.
