We had that with Germany.
Holland and Germany are rivals.
And at a World Cup or European Championship they are one of the best matches to watch.

It has all to do that Holland and Germany are "neighbours" and because of the 2nd World War.

yes I was born already.
I was born in 1974.

But ofcourse I was not even 4 that time.
The 78 WC and 74 WC were the only WC Holland played the final and they both lost them.

Since than Holland only reached the semi-finals in 1998 and the 1/4 finals in 1994 and both rounds we lost from Brazil.

And in the qualifying matches we were undefeated.
But that's in the qualifying matches, now we have to see how far this team is.
Argentina, Ivory Coast and Serbia Montenegro are countries that likes to play attractive soccer and have great technical skills, so for Holland the best opponents and maybe they will bring the best out of the Dutch.

HUP HOLLAND HUP!!!!!

Oh yeah that was one of the best WC matches I ever seen.
and I agree: England deserved to win that match.

here are my picks for the group winners and advancers.

usa might have a chance. but they HAVE to win that first game vs the czechs. if they do, then i'll take usa over italy to advance. yeah, i think italy might get upset. group e is by far the hardest. but thats how it goes sometimes.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! here we gooooo. i might be in germany next summer too. hopefully i can get some tickets (doubtful).

GO GERMANY!

we have a nice group

Posted by MrJangles on Dec-11-2005 03:08:

Outside of the US, I will be pulling for Holland and Brazil in their groups. Holland should be able to pull out if Arjen Robben is healthy and Van Nistelrooy & Makaay are in top form. Also, gotta love Brazil. They just look dominant and they'll be the most run to watch. Ronaldo, Kaka, Ronaldinho, Adriano, Roberto Carlos, Robinho, Cafy, and Dida to name a few. Also gotta shed some love for England. Rooney, Owen, Becks, Lampard, Gerrard, Terry, Cole... they are pretty stacked too. In any event, should make for some great matches. Can't wait!
