Bring Yoji Biomehanika to Toronto!
As some of you may or may not know, I am a huge Yoji fan.
I have noticed that I am not alone on these boards, and that there are many other TOTAs who are Yoji fans as well.
The reason I make this thread is because I am fed up.
I have heard several times now from various clubs and promoters that "Yoji is coming to Toronto", "We're bringing Yoji to Toronto" but that has yet to happen. All these promises always fall short.
The latest one being was that I heard a credible rumour Paradigm had booked Yoji to come to Viva in December, but surprise surprise, it looks like he's not coming, yet again.
Some clubs and promoters out there complain that the "scene is dying" and that it's not getting any better. Many TOTAs also complain about this.
To the clubs and promoters: did you ever think of bringing some NEW Djs to town, or Djs that A LOT of people want to see? Bringing the same old posse of Tiesto, Avb, Cox, Digweed, etc etc is getting old. Not that they're bad DJs necessarily, just that for a scene to grow, there needs to be variety, and new Djs coming into the city. Ironic in that many of those who are in the local industry and want the scene to grow actually do nothing to help the scene prosper.
Many have asked for Yoji to come to Toronto, several (including a good buddy of mine) have talked to Yoji's agent, who lives in Toronto. He himself has said they plan on coming to Toronto, but his schedule is really tight. Many other people have also pleaded with clubs to bring Yoji to town.
So what gives? Someone give me an honest answer here, what will it take to bring Yoji to Toronto?
what will bring him to Toronto?hmmm probably his learning to mix better.
I am a fan of a few of his productions, but the only time i saw him live he produced more trainwrecks than amtrack.
Turntable junky....

I saw him at House of Blues in Orlando 2 years ago...
Youre Welcome!
I think Toroto crowds are not ready for Yoji yet. I think this also goes to other hard-dance artists. I mean go to yojibiomehanika.com and go check out where yoji mostly goes on tour. You will see many parts of UK and Japan(Asia) and some parts of Europe. It's kinda clear. Either you will move to Europe or Asia or Just wait until he come's to T.O
bring scot project!
If you posted this in the MTL forum you'de get banned...as i did. I was banned for almost 2 weeks for simply saying YOJI. Some democracy
. Anyways BRING YOJI

| Originally posted by TranceGrooves As for Yoji like someone said earlier ... there isnt a big enough fan base of him in TO. Just because u me and few others want him to come doesnt mean a promoter will run to book him. things take time and good things come to those who wait. so have patience drink some milk and enjoy what is being offered meanwhile. p.s. Bring Yoji to TO |
