heard satoshi was great...
was anyone @ stereobar this morning? my friends and i headed over there after Aria closed. and if so! who was the dj spinning? OMG I NEED THAT LIVE SETTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!
yo!
It was Stephane Lippe's extended set .... hes insane. One of the best Local DJ's - He's spinning at Celebration I believe.
good prog-electro-house
Elie, you coming to Celebration man?
Whoever heard Satoshi's set was good, is wrong.
He started off nice and dark (and bangin) then for about 2 hours he had retarted build ups that led into absolutely nothing, then towards the end of the night he played some of his old shit off of his ES mixes and a bunch of Sasha.
Jung was ok, but he played some cheesy remixes at the beginning like this weak remix of "Another one bites the dust", dunno about that.
ALL THAT BEING SAID
Vibe was killer, the buddies I went with were awesome to party with etc etc.
The lack of sleep and bad meds I had contributed to my state of absolute fucked upness last night, luckily the only TA that I saw I think was Stereohead so ya, sorry if I was REALLY WEIRD.

Ya I almost forgot, there was this japanese traditional dancer there... Doing some crazy danses with a fan ontop of the box in the middle and then she moved to the back area and was twirling around these burning sticks.
lol?? wow ok, wierd.
but how was the music?
edit: nevermind, i didn't read the post above
I really didn't like it for the most part, and I have been really into Satoshi for the past little while.
His build ups lead to nothing, and he lost the crowd mid way through his set and just started playing prog, then electro, then tech, then this trancy shit. Except there was seemingly no pattern to it, I really did not enjoy it AT ALL, even when he was playing these bangin tracks from his ES mixes.. The fact that he played Behind the Wheel off of Sasha's Fundacion, but totally facked it up was a complete attestment to the night as a whole, he had some good tracks here and there but they came at wrong places.

IMO it came at a bad time, and the vocals in the track were very faint. (The one Jung played anyway)

He started off with dark prog! That's what was so bad about his set! It started so awesome, then just sucked for the rest of the time I was there!
I never made it past stereobar last night. My gf and I met some people from my graduate program at Le Tulipe first then we went to Stereobar at 1 am but were too drunk and had to go home at 3. Yet another casualty as a result of alcohol.
ahhh
Big mistake .. XL played in Stereobar in the morning. Apparently he was INSANE.
I have alot of friends who thought satoshi was insane! VERY VERY guitar/elecrtro based - i guess what you would expect.
I would not know- I was not there.
NO MARCUS- I WILL BE IN THAILAND- HONK KONG and SINGAPOURE -> thank goodness for me, because I would have NO idea what to do the 31st?
I would for sure start off at Celebration or to see Armin - then finish at Morales at Stereo ... would be such an insane fucking night ...
but wait ... Thailand ... prostitution + drug capital of the WORLD. Could be interesting ...

XL is alll over the place. I love it. He really does have crowd reading talent. The thing about spinning at stereo-bar in the morning is that it's so easy to lose the crowd. You have to be fucking consistent and keep laying them down hard orelse you will be spining for an empty basement.
