Mixer with filters?
I'm ggetting a new dj equipment, some Cdj's, and I've been usinf traktor
I would like to get a mixer with filter options as traktor have.
like Amount, Low Cut, Width,resonance.
I've seen the have filters, but they are just buttons, like flanger.
I just don't want to press a button for the filter, I would like to control everything bymyselfm, but I have seen the interface of the mixers and I don't see any with these features.
maybe they have them, but they don't use the same names (amount, Width, etc.).
Thanks.

The electrix filter queen is a nice little filter.
http://www.electrixpro.com/products/filterqueen.html
It's got frequency and resonance settings, 4 types of filters, and an internal lfo and envelope follower to control it. I'm not sure if you can get one new right now, but if you can't you can try to get one used, they're pretty solid so buying them used isn't that bad. Then just hook it into your mixers send/return.

then hopefully a digital sampler/looper at some point in the future - we'll see how that one turns out!
The Filter Queens are supposed to on sale sometime in the near future. At least I hope so.
Stanton Djf-1 or vermona action filter 2
Stantons resonance is terrible but the vermonas is awesome.
great filters- its actually two in one 19 inch rack unit.
the filters on my xone 32 are more that enough

Thanks to everyone for the replys, have been very helpful.
I have another question, those filters you mentioned there, They are only for the master Channel?, I mean if I want to manipulate the sound witht he filters on different channels at the same time, do I need to buy a pir of these filters?
And what's the price range of these filters?
Thanks.
Do not forget to check over the stanton VRM10 mixer, with valve tubes and with filters...

| Originally posted by Trogdor You need a send/return on your mixer in order to use the filter on any channel. As for using filters on two different channels, you'll either need two filter units, or an Allen & Heath Xone:92 mixer, with two built-in filters. The Electrix Filter Queen MAP is $149. The Allen & Heath Xone:VF-1 MAP is $599. You should be able to get either of those for less. The Vermona AF-II is just over $300. The Xone:92 MAP is $1699, but can be had for around $1400. The Filter Queen apparently has some sound quality issues. I would go with a VF-1, but, since you want a mixer with built-in filters, you should go for the Xone:92. To be fair, I have a Xone:92, but would love a VF-1, it's an incredible unit. I haven't used the Vermona. I believe it's a revised version of the Stanton, which has been discontinued.
