Hype Sucks

dont you hate when stuff is over-hyped?? (of coarse you do )

yeah, so a couple months ago, i saw the movie office space. however, before i saw the movie, everyone was liek "yeah, this is the best movie ever", "blah, blah".. and when the movie was over, i thought it sucked. it didnt' even come close to being the "best movie ever". if nobody would have said anything, i probably would've thought it was a pretty good movie, but because it was hyped, the whole movie was ruined.. yeah, so thats about all there is to this thread.. got a similar story post it here (..if you get bored enough )

well, i used to be like that with all movies. then i started noticing that some movies that ppl said sucked were really good. so now i just aim low, and expect the worst movie and end up enjoying most movies.

Office Space was hilarious, i first saw it in theatres (even tho it did bad 'cause of a lack of advertising)

I can easily imagine how hype ruined it for you... when people say "best movie ever!!", you'ld expect an epic adventure or something- (which office space is not!!)... but Office Space is more of a cult-hit-comedy, not really for everyone- but those who it IS for, will love it.

I try my best to ignore all the hype and just go see/buy/experience something with what I personally know of it...
