My ears are still ringing. And the lights where uber bright. Oh ya... Kristina played one hell of a opening set! As people started comming in they where dancing right away! I left shortly after Eger V got in to head over to Heaven to see Michelle my other Pic. But I loved how he Droped Someday (vocal mix) with Andy still there. I had such an awsome time last night and I hope Andy get to play out in La more. The dance floor was not as packed as I tought it would be but I like having more room to dance. But for those of you who where not there. You guys toltay missed out! Picts will be up after the weekend |

Moor was rocking it and the sound cut out cause he went too high on the mixer, then her turned the Monitors to the crowd and they were waaaaaaay too loud.
Swedish was playing some cool stuff in the backroom.
I spent a lot of time out on the patio.

okay so i guess my review didn't make it but just as well.....i drank too much and spent too much time out on the patio. kristina's set was good as always, andy 's set was definitely banging, and i caught some of edgar's set but i was so faded by the end of the evening i can barely remember his set and his was the one i was looking forward to the most
of course i spent quite some time in the house room, madison started the night off nicely with a great set, caught some of swedish egils set and very nice as well.
the lights sucked, in your face way too much blinding you and the sound was killing my ears, i may need to start carrying ear plugs. the crowd was a bit more sparse than i anticipated, those that weren't there totally missed out, great night of music. missed hearing a set from victor but we get to see/hear it for NYE.
great seeing everyone and partying with all the TA's as usual! always seems to make my night just a wee bit better met some new peeps who were very cool and ended up partying with them until way to early saturday morning, making my drive to vegas tiring but had a blast anyways.
simon thanks again for driving the bus, and taking the kids, pablo and clovis with us. always a good time with you guys.
save the drama for somebody else's momma. i am sad i missed this party. andy is one of my favorite producers. i hope he makes a return to los angeles again soon!
Got there 10:30, showed the cashier my credit card with my Wantickets receipt and she says "cash only!" A few minutes later and all was good though, opened the door to the uplifting Trance sounds of none other than DJ supreme Kristina Sky! 
Only time I've worn my coat to a club in months and months (since I walked there from home), so I ask the bartender "where's the coatcheck?" He says to go ask the guy outside the front door, so I go outside and "cash only" girl looks up wryly at me while the guy says "there's no coatcheck tonight" (like there's one every other night, but not now because I wore one?) Back to the bar for another drink and soon I forgot that I had a coat (or teeth or fingernails for that matter!)
An informant disclosed to me that Andy Moor was already in the room, lounging inside the VIP area, so I went over, flashed a coupla pics and then he goes right to the decks! A cheeky monkey, this guy, putting on some hat that only Boy George would wear and making obscure faces for the camera. He seemed kinda nervous at first, but was pretty warmed up by the time the sound system died, and as mentioned he then pointed the monitors into the crowd and then went to the badkamer! Was pretty surreal that Above & Beyond played Andy Moor's "Halcyon" here in LA less than a week ago, and here is Andy Moor playing Above & Beyond's "Air for Life!" Only thing better would be having all four of them in the same room (hint hint!) 
Now 1 a.m. and Andy ends his set, stepping back to the VIP lounge for the rest of the night! 
Edgar V took over and continued the madness, but if I didn't know better, woulda thought that somebody had screamed "FIRE!" Egil was doing what Egil does best (it's all good, my friend) in the back room, but the theme of the night seemed to be "Andy and out!"
o.k., now I'm off to the nearest LASIK center to have my eyes corrected from the white lights that blinded us every 30 seconds! 
Oh, and Andy ventured beyond the VIP area for a few seconds. I shook his hand briefly and said "Thank you!" Turned back around and then got a little tap on the shoulder: "Where's the exit to this place?" and I pointed. Wow, I had a conversation with Andy Moor!

alright here's my andy moor story...
when i heard 'without you near' coming on i got all pumped up but then the speakers fucked up as you all know and andy turned the monitors towards us. they sounded like shit so i went to the bathroom and who walks in? andy moor. so we're pissing next to each other and i say 'man, the sound system here is lame..wtf happened? andy moor sucks!' and he just starts laughing and says 'wtf mate? its not my fault' blablabla we chat for a minute. tells me hes gonna drop the mash up 'without you near' vs 'precious'
overall it was an awesome set. there was like nobody there. but as my buddy ryan pointed out, the same shit happened when we saw james holden a year ago in hollywood with like 75 people...a year later BOOM! sells out avalon. so next year when andy moor is HUGE we'll prolly be paying like 50 bucks. edgar v was playing some good shit but everyone left after andy so it kinda sucked. kristina sky was awesome too, she gets better everytime i see her. peace
