Tonearm difference
What's the difference between a s-shaped and straight tonearm? I'm looking for mid priced DD decks (possibly the Kam ddx3000) and want to know what sort of tonearm to go for.
S shaped r better for mixing
Straight r better for scrtaching and if u use em for mixing may cause record burn

the prob. straught arm turntable is that the arm is so short that it causes record burn but some shitty gemini's for exp have a long arm and will be less likl;ey to cause record burn
people are constantly worrying about record damage from straight arms..!
but why?!!
the vast majority of dj's i see mixing dont have a clue on how to handle vinyl. they pick em up by the playing surface and fill the grooves with thier dirty little sweaty mits!
when i go to a record store with vinyl listening posts i know ill see loads of grubby finger prints on all the vinyl!
is it that people see pro dj's who dont care cos they get all their vinyl free anyway.. so think this is the way to do it?
anyone share the same views?

yeah i look after my vinyl, actualy i better buy some cleaner!
is there a way for me to convert my tables to S-shape tonearm?
i have both straight and s-shaped arms for my TT's and i actually like using the straight ones better. i used the s-shaped ones and i just dont like the way they feel/look/or whatever. i dont know how to explain it... i just like my straight arms better. i dont notice any differences in sound or anything when using one or the other...
