So who's got the best dancers in the world, methinks NY/NJ ;)

I started a little discussion about this in the NY forum, wanted to take to the big room.

So what region do you think has the best dancers? And by that I mean dancing to EDM (if we did this in a wide spectrum of music, I think the Latins would win). And I mean the average clubber/raver, not professional dancers hired by the clubs.

I'm from the NY/NJ border and I must say we have the best here. And I'm not saying that because this is where I'm from, nor am I saying I'm any good lol. I've been to about every major clubbing area in the USA, a few places in Canada, and the Netherlands, from what I've seen, NY/NJ'ers just got the moves!

Let the flames begin!

Well if you include early 80's hip-hop as part of EDM, then yes. Breakdancing.

Yeah, surprise.

Apparently the people in the NY forum who have done some global clubbing actually say that Europeans are not so great in the dancing department. Latin America is scoring some points.

Dancing can have different dialects, if you know what I mean. What some people consider great and spectacular in one part of the world may be considered lame and unmovable in other parts.

I don't know. I think it all depends on what kind of dancing you're talking about.

generally whichever lucky region i currently reside in

i haven't surveyed the dance abilities of other regions, but i would say the dancing people do where i am...sucks
it seems so lifeless most of the time, like they're doing it but not really feeling the music

Er... unless you've travelled the world extensively, the answer is likely to be "where I live".

And if you include N'Sync, then yes. Thrust, spin, turn. Pivot, pout, jiggy. Jiggy, robot, do-se-do.

I've heard there are some awesome moves in Idaho, just breathtaking!

This is a rigged topic to begin with. You can't generalize a whole nation, state, or city

+1 for the europian dancing. The clubbing danceing in europe is more like moving, jumping and/or shaking around, and nothing else. I guess the dancing here is much better. People actually dance in clubs (not all of them though).
