psy for dummies

k as a purveyor of everything cheese and in light of the recent posts about psy and what not. i wanna give this much touted genre a chance. so gimme some (dare i say cheesy) psy tunes or anything accessible that would make someone uninitiated go "OMgZ thIs PSy Is FUlLY HeKtIk!!!".

Posted by Aesthetic on Dec-15-2005 00:05:

anything by astral projection, infected mushroom, yahel, and astrix is usually pretty good.. but im not one of those PSY PSY lovers, i like shit that is quite trancey too.. taucher writes some psy with proggy influences.. simon00 should be able to help you out a bit too he loves the cock i mean psy.

Posted by Light The Fuse on Dec-15-2005 00:14:

ticon. - new album -
as dave said taucher is the shiznit

i dunno there is hard psy - not really my thang - and then theres the groovier side of it all - psygressive i guess

dousk is anothery - kinda been claimed by the proggers - but kinda slow psy...

i dunno - psy is very much equalling proper trance for me a fair bit lately.

Posted by Dean Millson on Dec-15-2005 00:17:

It stops and ends with Simon Ponsford imo.

Posted by pkcRAISTLIN on Dec-15-2005 00:20:

i like psy that sounds just like uplifting trance no surprises there...

Posted by Light The Fuse on Dec-15-2005 00:28:

^lol

jizza im pretty much a dummy on it too - just been getting into it a bit more since new tunes are now tres' cheap on the innernet - when i get home ill list some stuff for ya (:

what dave said.

also try rinkadink, protoculture (*jizm*), sub 6 and fatali for melodic psy. anything referred to as 'morning' music should generally float the boats of club trance enthusiasts

soon you won't be able to get enough of psy's crisp production, bouncy kick drum and the infamous *wookawookawookawooka* bassline. awesome.

where's phil and jolz when you need them?

Posted by jizza on Dec-15-2005 00:55:

ta muchly. ok anyone game to actually list some tracks? (cept for jules later on)

Posted by Anomyst on Dec-15-2005 01:10:

Reefer Decree - Sound Frames

Dark psy

Wizzy noise!

Posted by tachyon on Dec-15-2005 01:56:

the oakenfold goa silver+gold mix is my fave for that oldskool goa trance sound

can't really get into too much psy these days except for those digital blonde tracks, maybe a bit of sphongle, haven't even finish listening to that infected mushroom earthcore in the park set. (even after benji ranting about it for days on end)

Posted by tathi on Dec-15-2005 02:40:

i can't really get into that really evil psy, but i like most psy

some of my favorite djs are: DJ Guy Salama, Infected Mushroom, Astral Projection, John "00" Flemming, and of course oldschool Oaky

Oakenfold - Voyage into Trance

so please stop PMing me to get him to listen to yours. that is something youll have to take up with tathi personally.
