Ecstasy Test Kits
Does anyone use them often, if at all?
And if it was "Impure" or whatever, has it stopped you from popping that pill, or did you say, "Fuck it"?

I'm not too sure about these diy test kits (although I do think they are similar), but ones that I have seen you take literally a scratch off the pill, just enough to get a light powder. The results then say (depending on the colour of the solution) what is contained in the tablet, eg ketamine, PMA or MDMA or a few others.
The pill is still usable, you really do not need much at all (like I said, a light shaving) for a test.
It will not tell you however if the pill is 'safe' or 'unsafe', because no pill is safe, but it will show you what you are taking.

I had one back in 2001. The reason I bought it was my own paranoia. At the time White Mitibishis pills were going around that whole summer. Well a chick from a suburb near my house died from eating 4 of em. It wasnt MDMA, it was fake Mitubishis, it was PMA. By the time she felt anything, it was too late. The REAL white Mitubishis pills were awesome, very speedy, a meth type substance & also MDMA. Great Mix. It was nice that I could see what my favorite pills had mixed in em. And everytime a new type of pill would come around, I would know what was in it. One of my favorites were White Mercedes. About 70% were MDMA, 20% some type of speed or meth, & the lil bit rest was 2CB. Great energetic, speedy pills & also had a lil bit of a halucigenic come down from the 2cb. I was in a hotel room with my ex gf at about 11am & we were just chilling on our comedown checking out all the cool shapes & figures we were seeing on the ceiling. It was awesome. Also some of the pills had a type of acid in em, dont know what kind but those rocked too. really fuked u up. I had a friend tell me it was Mescolin. Different parts of Crobar I was at the music had a kick ass different sound echoing through my head. Loved it. Great times. Miss em lots.
The worst pills I ever took were white Popeyes, they had MDMA & also DXM mixed in em. DXM is what makes you tired from cough syrup. My ex & I were sleeping all day for the next week after our Saturday night on those. Sucked

few months ago in manitoba there was some blue delfins going around ... i took 2 of thoes pills and for next 3 days i couldnt sleep or eat or anything just hell .. now friend got a kit fuk it much better when you know if its any better or full of garbage !
i have a blue dolphin and half a smiley saved up for NYE, but i doubt itll be enough to last me the whole night.
the only bad pills i ever had werent really bad at all. since i roll only once every several weeks or more, one pill, then a re-dose later on is all i need to keep it going all night, but with this one, i only felt different. the music was good and i was feeling it, but thats as far as it went. but it made my eyes dialated, and once i got out of the club, then i realized, i really was pretty fucked up, but not blowing up.

If it was legal, we would not have to worry so much about it having stuff in it that we don't know about.
hence taking mdma would be a lot safer...
when MDMA hit dallas and the feds scheduled it, there was no social impact.. people were still getting up to go to work the next day, and all of them were happier about it.

i think you only have to scrape off a little bit of the pill, just enough to put one drop of the testing solution on it.
if you're using kits with multiple testing solutions, i imagine you'd have to scrape off more.
This entire thread makes me want to roll 
I haven't dropped since fucking October and the comedown was so fucking bad I didn't want to do anything for a couple weeks. Best time I've had on the drug though, strangely enough.
