Your favorite video game movies?

So people, what are some of your games, turned to the big screen?

Best one ever in my opinion:

Street Fighter: the Animated Movie (Japanese with English subtitles.) (1994)

2nd. favorite: The Professional: Golgo 13. (1983) <- Yes, this was originally a comic book but it was a game too....well, after the movie, hehe.

Fatal Fury 1 and 2.
The Final Fantasy animated series was kinda shitty, in my opinion...

Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. Great CGI animation, blah storyline IMO. Let's wait on Final Fantasy: Advent Children. Heard nothing but good shit about that.

So what are some of yours?

Silent Hill looks VERY promising. The director went through several drafts of the script to please the Konami team.

Halo has Peter Jackson....i dunno. Supposedly an Omaha Beach scene with marines v aliens

First MK defintely rocked. 2nd one had great action but cheesy acting and kinda fucked up storyline. Raiden with short hair......WHAT THE FUCK, dude.

I never saw the Mario Bros. movie but heard it was awful. How bad is that compared to the Van Damme Street Fighter film?

Of the ones released in the US to date: Mortal Kombat. That will soon be replaced by Advent Children if it ever comes out here.

I'm eagerly awaiting the 'Silent Hill' movie though...

The Super Mario Bros movie was nothing like the game, Bowser was played by Dennis Hopper, And Mario and Luigi was played by Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo. See the poster below to know why.

And that little T-Rex in the movie, Was suposed to be Yoshi as well, Heh.

Well, I finally got to watch almost all of Super Mario Bros. and I must say it is one of the WORST movies I've ever seen. Funny at times, but a just plain awful game-to-movie conversion.
