UKTA is officially dead

noone's posted in here all day,

Posted by Saka on Dec-17-2005 22:38:

I agree.
It saddens me that the ukta's aren't as close and tight-knit as other ta's on this forum.
But then again, with all the lovely weather in this country, why would anybody spend all day on the computer posting.

I always thought British people spend each and every spare hour they've got in the pub. No wonder it's somewhat hard to manage basic keyboard skills..

we used to be. id argue to say once we were the most active and closest forum. they was weekly ukta meet ups going on all over the country - the scene died, clubs dissapeared, and we went with it.

yeah pretty much, there used to be shit loads going on but that was when trance was big and everyone agreed on music they like. Now everyone has branched off into their own things and its just too hard to pull everyone together for a night out.

Yeah, but there used to be stuff to post about on this forum.

Fuck all nowadays...

I miss the Random Thread.

The random thread went to shit also. It was just full of people chatting and post padding rather than actual randomness, such as Jeff posting a 1 page resume and 2 massive pictures regarding Blackpool Pier

ho hum.. only just noticed i've been here as long as you have. i still feel like a n00b ... never really got in with the crowd here i guess.

I dont think the trance scene has died at all, I'm partying as much as ever at big events like Wildchild, Slinkies, Frantic, Passion and the rest. Then we got all the summer festivals to come. Guess people just dont post as much about it.

Come on guys at least you were there! Would be even sadder if you weren't...People talk about the oldskool ta days as if theyre war verterans or something. But it pains me when i see threads like this as reminds me that i've missed out on the glory days - and those days are never going to return. My one regret in life.
