Anyone know of some nice bars/hang out places that are good for having fun and meeting people... preferably attractive single people?

There are no places like that. you're fucked, really. NY is full of married couples with children. Your best bet: Yonkers, West Chester, or hell... Albany!

Pssssssst! Don't tell anyone but there's this little known place called Manhattan. You have to ask around where it is - but once you know, check it out - I hear it's pretty hip.

this is one cool place to hang out and meet people, it is a little upscale, but if you hit it on the right nights, they play some cool lounge music
