Ottawa record stores

since my thread in southern Ontario went nowhere.

Help is much appreciated.

You got a better chance of finding trance records online, check out juno.co.uk. As far as I know there aint much of a market for trance records in canada, at least in montreal, much better luck if you were in europe. Even if you do find those trance records, they'll probably be old, and weird :P, based on my investigation in records shops in montreal some years ago.

All the best!

Juno is the best, I've ordered from both Chemical and Juno. Never a problem with Ju, and tons of problems with shipping with Chemical. I had to cancel my account with them they sucked so much!

o rly?
never had problem with chemical, but then again i only made like 3-4 orders

Just just placed an order for 12 vynils off juno. Chemical is good too (ordered once), but ive heard some people had to wait LONG LONG time for their order to come in.

The most i've waited was 11 days, seems reasonable.

1 month ,nothing comes, they reship and it doesn't come, third time was a charm though, two months later and my new vinyls weren't so new!

Ouch, I'd go mad
At least their customer service is ok

That's the whole point, it isn't good. It shouldn't take three attempts to get through. And I had to hassle them. Also it was not an isolated incident. I have two other friends in Ottawa with the same problem. I switched to Juno, and they have better selection and the records are usually there within a week

It's one of the reasons i switched to digital, beatport's just far too convinient, music at a touch of a click. They now have downloadable waves, fresh masters from the label

Vertigo Records in downtown Ottawa has a fairly poor electronic section with ver few trance records (mostly deep house if applicable ) you can also check out Record Runner across the street but i wouldn't know about their selection considering that i have never visited them. but in mu opinion Canada is the last place in this earth to find decent and recent trance records lol. as mentions before the net is the best way to go!! good luck and i hope i've provided some help

Thanks for the replies, but Im well aware of online shops (infact ive ordered for juno quite a bit).
There are a few places in Toronto(and area) that sell some recent stuff so I hoped Ottawa might have at least one place since im here for the next week or so.

Thanks for the help.

what about Montreal???? any good shops there?
