Santa's gonna hook me up!

I have an essay to write for my Electronic Music class and i was wondering if anyone could help me out. The question is posted below:

Write a letter to Santa persuading him to bring you a midi workstation/studio (It could be a production studio or DJ set up or whatever anyone wants it to be...my choice is below). Explain the equipment you will need and describe how each will be used. Briefly tell santa about the capabilities of a midi studio and tell him how you would use the studio to make music.

I want to Set of a production studio, so i can mix and produce music

I just need help on all the equipment i would need...the brands of equipment because santa will bring me whatever i want at any price. and then maybe an explanation of each piece of equipment....thanks for all the help

Hmm a production studio interesting.

First you're going to need a nice computer. Then you need to choose a sequencer. I reccomend Cubase for PC and Logic for Mac. If you go Cubase then you need to get a nice synthesizer and sampler/drum machine. My favorite softsynth at the moment is Linplug's Albino and I like Native Instrument's samplers like Intakt and Kontakt, and Battery for drum samples. You will also probably want some plugins for mastering like Izotope or Waves. That's more than enough to get anyone started via the software route. I'd reccomend some hardware but I don't own any, and I don't like to reccomend stuff I don't own.
