[Uplifting Trance] DJ Lindo - The Reality Is Here (160kbps) (clip)
Hey guys. I've started a new track and I'm not totally sure where it's going to go. I have some ideas in mind, but I'm just wondering what my fellow TAers are thinking on it
. Throw out some ideas and we'll see where it goes. I have two versions of this song. One has the piano on C6+ and the second version has it on C5+. Give me your thoughts.
Version 1: http://s49.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=...GR1OKOGHAFU7YZ3
Version 2: http://s49.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=...U83I7GP0B26BQ3E
Hey nice to see you.
Version 1&2 : Great work. I like the percs. When the piano comes in, It really tears apart the general feel, but it healed really quick. Nice job on that, I like the synths. Finish it!
I like your stuff man
-William
Do you think I should take out the piano at that part? Maybe wait and do something else? Keep the ideas coming and thanks Bassaka
You don't have to take them out, they're nice. If you keep them, soften them up, give em a nice reverb, and spacey effect.
William
Anyone have any other ideas?
Damn!
Guys guys guys, it's not the octave that's wrong it's the whole key. It sounds horrible!
If you are going to use the piano in this track then I think that the '6' is the better option but get it in key otherwise it's just going to suck whatever octave you use.
5th or 6th Octave it's your choice but they key you are looking for is not C.
Cheers
Karl
Yup
Well you are right about that...I knew that but I thought it would fit for some reason. I guess I'll change it back to the key of F.
the piano is not in the same key as the song...go only octaves or you'll ruin the song. It's great by itself but the piano just doesnt' match the song
oh, that piano is totally out of place. percussion is weak too.
check out the sample in my sig pls even if it's a guitar in stead of a piano.
So I decided the piano was ugly at that point but for some reason I can't seem to drop anymore ideas on this track. I don't know where to go with it. I mean the melodies are alright, but my buildup section I feel is lacking and so is the intro. I dunno tell me if you guys got any ideas. No one wants to reply? Well I got a different version anyways...here goes the updated version I started up last night.

Youve got a nice idea, this could be a brillaint driving Trance track but it needs work.
The percussions are basic, the bass is non exsistent. This leaves a kick , snare, piano and the 2 off beat backing leads.
Beef it up a bit mate and youll have a nice tune on your hands!

Thanks JakeC. Is the bassline not strong enough? I think the track needs a little more complexity to it, but I can't seem to get any ideas to do that.
Tried to get the new version, but it says the server is busy so will try again later.
Here goes the link sorry. I got a soundclick website now so here. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pag...m?bandID=459284

-Nice beginning...liking it.
-That sound that comes in at 0:28 is a little loud. imo I would bring it in and out, filter it alittle...less volume
-nice piano, good build
-I really like the construction of this tune
-At 2:19 I would've faded to the break, I think it was little too long for me
-Break is not bad...no particular comments here
-Main part I think could've sounded more explosive...
-At 4:10 I would've gone right to 4:24
Nice Job
Thanks for the input
I appreciate it. Yeah that sound doesn't fit all that well if I keep it playing the whole time. I just needed some time away from the track.
