So those MB fans know what to expect...
Barbara is touring for her new CD, "Come with me." Taken from residentadvisor.net:

Italys Misstress Barbara has completed her latest album and in the process walks over her own boundaries and treads off into the world of other genres.

Barbara has been in the house game for well over a decade now, growing a fan base through a blend of hosue and techno as a DJ and producer.
With a background in film during her studies, she clearly has the right contacts behind the screen with her track Crash and Burn licensed to the film Saved By The Belles and Effett Karma licensed to the Montreal film Pure, which is being presented at Cannes. This mix takes shape as below:

Misstress Barbara Come With Me Tracklisting
1 Sebo K Too Hot
2 Lorna Feel Good
3 Andrea Bertoloni My Wav (Club mix)
4 Trentemoller Beta Boy
5 Zdar Dont You Want
6 Boysnoize He-Man
7 Misstress Barbara - I Love You
8 Bad Pimps Pimp The Box
9 Lemon 8 - Model 8 (Lemon 8 remix)
10 Argy Love Dose (Luciano remix)
11 Donnacha Costello Rusty Sticks
12 Misstress Barbara Eleven O Seven
13 Nathan Fake - Dinamo (Dominik Eulberg remix)
14 Alex Under Aditah, La Granjerita
15 Move D - Anne Will
16 Trentemoller - Chameleon
17 Oliver Koletzki - Der Muckenschwarm (Dominik Eulberg remix)

(I still find it funny that articles state that she is from Italy)
I heard Barbara play 6+ hours of deep, groovy, minimal techno and electro-house at Stereo in December...I am very curious to hear this mix and how she is touring for it. but for those of you expecting a banging 3 deck techno set, you will be disappointed...

Hopefully she will play more tech than house...but I'm not one to complain. LOVED her at GG

If you know the tracks above, they are still techno. It's not 140bpm bang bang techno the way you are used to hearing from her though. It is deep, groovy, slower, more melodic, but still funky at times and still dark at times.

IMO this is where techno is going...it is slowing down, it is becoming more intelligent, more soulful.

I still love my bang bang though.

full line up is on the Soho posters... proper contact flyer coming shortly.

Hmm I'm not into the how slower progression of it...Minimal techno especially; I mean it's great chill music but not club music. Not that danceable. But that tracklisting looks great to me! I'm super excited

ps. since when do i like minimal techno!?!?! the times, they be a-changin'. i sincerely hope there is nothing about this night that is bangin'

Loco Dice's Mixmag CD (Minimal Explosion) is fucking AMAZING. Thanks to Floorwhore for introducing this gem to me. I can't wait to hear Loco in a smaller venue. He's going to kill it.

6+ hours...i'm pretty sure there were a couple hours in there that you might not remember...

here's hoping she is better than she was at Stereo

at least I'm not losing my memory due to old age.

she will be playing as she did at stereo. Almost all of the tracks on the CD she is touring for were played at stereo.

Speaking of the CD, I'm getting an advance copy this week! super excited to hear it.

Posted by The Highroller on Feb-02-2006 02:12:

What's the CD called, and when is it slated for release?

Posted by Skipper on Feb-02-2006 13:11:

The CD is called "Come with me" and is slated for release on Feb 7th on Koch Records. I think I posted the tracklisting earlier in this thread.

Posted by Skipper on Feb-08-2006 16:31:

^^ So I've had a proper chance to listen to the CD and I must say, I was expecting something a bit more melodic and chill, but this is straight up DANCE music all the way to the last tracks where she cools it down a bit, as she has done with every CD mix she has released (even her bangin hard relentless #1!). and some of these tracks are still hard and pumping but just with different sounds, different bpms and a different feel. but it is the same Barbara, still pumping out dance music!

I really can't wait until Feb 24!!
