2005 Awards : TXTA DJ of the Year
Who got the most playlist love this year? Vote them.
Gyaaaah!!! How in the hell am I going to be able to decide this?? I've spent all year downloading mixes from all of them! *scoops out eyes, skullfucks self*

My vote is for DJ Ballistic AKA Nathan Bolling. His sets are just more my style and I enjoy them.
I'm had an impossible time selecting based on sets because I haven't heard sets from all the DJs, so I picked Dave because he's come really far and done a lot of hard work this year. And he books me.

just in case... if you havent heard any of the dual progress stuff (cubano) or steven hays' sets (violet crown session) you might want to give them a listen before you vote.

Done... looks like late Jan Proton Sessions.
Email [email protected] and request the Rock Star Booth. Its worth the $$$
I'll take care of herding hot women up there for you... unless of course they are all dancing to my dirty beats (which is what usually happens).
Its ON!

Matthias and Lance...damn I wish I could vote both.
yea my vote goes for Matt. saw him open for NUNRG, PVD, and Gabriel & Dresden this year. The guy has it. If you havent seen him yet your missin out. if we could vote for two Lance would be my second vote for sure!

Matthias is my second favorite. Methinks the man should be affiliated with DCS.
my vote is for packer, coz if you'd heard the shit he was first putting out you'd wanna slit your own throat (if you dont already), and he's got heaps better, greater variety & track selection, it's nice i like
thx to joel & the other **** who voted for me, but methinks my set mixing days will come to a stop soon, or will stop being so frequent, it's going nowhere and i need to concentrate more on work & school

I really really appreciate the kinds words from many in the thread. Personally, I voted for Lance Cashion cuz he was the Texas local whose sound influenced alot of what I played this year. I first saw him open for Tiesto in SA in 2004..and it was the first time I left a show thinking more about an openers set than the headliners. Saw him again in September 94 when he played alongside Jerry Bonham and van Dyk at Sky. Early this year he requested me to make an exlusive mix for proton radio which aired back in March. All in all..its why Lance gets my vote. I would like to hear more productions from the man though.
Other honorable mentions from this year are Dave Molina and James packer who I've only gotten to see/play along side of once back in January. Cubano from the work I've heard from Dual Progress, Dirk for the similar taste in music, and Steven Hays for the Violet Crown sessions.
lmao ignore what i said above, problem solved.....i resigned from my job
