Ideal Lineup (NYE)

So, if you could create your ideal EDM party in your home country on NYE, who would DJ and what would the venue be? Oh and what would the midnight track be?

Mine would be...

Venue: Air, Birmingham (home of Godskitchen)

Marcus Schultz: 9 - 10.30
Menno de Jong: 10.30 - 11.30
Above and Beyond: 11.30 - 1.00
The Thrillseekers: 1.00 - 2.30
Paul Van Dyk: 2.30 - 4.00
Armin Van Buuren: 4.00 - 5.30
Jon O'Bir: 5.30 - 7.00

Midnight Tune: Sunny Lax - "P.U.M.A."

Ok...so that's a lil greedy, but i dont care that's my ideal lineup! Warmed up nicely to floaty heaven then nailed by PVD only to taken back down and up to euphoria by the lads at the end!!! ooooh yes

Posted by idoru on Dec-22-2005 20:36:

Way Out West (Live) 8:00-9:00
Infusion (Live) 9:00-10:30
Rabbit in the Moon (Live) 10:30-12:00
Hybrid (Live) 12:00-1:30
Underworld (Live) 1:30-3:00
The Chemical Brothers (Live) 3:00-4:30

That's just my dream line-up, but it would fit nicely with a NYE thing.

Bring Guiness Book of World Records! This could be a world record attempt for most consecutive trainwrecks...

Just give me a night of Hawtin.

Nice, melodic and deep warming up stuff from 8 PM, working towards a climax around midnight, playing high energy tech stuff for an hour or four, and then slowly drift away into more freaky stuff (while keeping energy levels high). After six, let the bizarre stuff come out. Finally, as a closer, let him play YMCA.

I'd happily die after a night like that

Posted by xpand_the_room on Dec-23-2005 13:19:

why do so many people have a million djs for the night? I would have 3 DJs max, and ideally just 2

anyone of the following would rock:
laurent garnier & Dj marky - all night d'n'b
laurent garnier & danny howells - all night, all genres except techno
sasha, digweed and nick warren

Stereo

Peter Bailey: 9-11:15
Chus & Ceballos: 11:15-3
Steve Lawler: 3- ?

We believe that clubbers have the right to stomp in a safe environment, so upon entering the club you may be searched, if any drugs are found on you, they will be taken away, tested, and if they're shite you will be given replacements.

A limo will be available to pick you up from your house, take you there, then take you back at whatever time you feel like (incl. with ticket price).

THAT! Would be a NYE

I find that the nights I have enjoyed the most have been the ones where the DJs have had sets of no more than 2 hours, bar a couple. I dont know i guess it just keeps hitting you with fresh stuff and the changes keep you on your toes and interested. Not that i wouldnt be interested if there were more DJs, but you know, it adds extra venom to the night.
