question on the 45 adapter for techs
total noob question but then again, deserve the bashing that im expecting...anyways...ive had my 2nd hand techs for a while and didnt even think about it, but do i really need the 45 adapter???
im slowly starting to repair and fix up my second hand techs in order to get it back into tip top shape. ive been spinning for about a year or two without the 45 adapter...so if anybody can let me know if it is a necessity, that'd be cool
Here's what these 45 rpm adapters are for
These types of records are pretty rare these days, can be found in some reggae and dub stuff but I don't think I'm ever seen ( at least not long extended tracks ) electronic stuff on records like that.
You can only put a 5 minute or so song on a record like that btw.
I use them, but I buy a lot (and have a lot) of punk rock 7"s.
Fatboy Slim has been known to play sets entirely with 45s, so you never know.
If you don't own any 45's and don't plan on practicing with them on your setup, you shouldn't bother because you'll just be spending money on something that you'll never use(when it could go towards something better, like more records). If you ever come across some 45's and want to play them, then you can always purchase the adapter, but don't spend your money on something you won't use.
haha i have these yellow plastic things that lock onto the 7". theyre cheaper than that metal thing im sure.
ive got axel f (beverly hills cop theme) and wild thing on 7".
