As far as most interesting for other merits, I always enjoyed:

A-Ha - Take on Me
Duran Duran - Hungry Like the Wolf (the other later ones were good too, Russel Mulcahy directed pretty much all of their videos off of Seven and the Ragged Tiger and Arena which were all very grandiose productions, He directed the movie Highlander.)

Van Halen - Hot For Teacher
