Tilt - Twelve ... all orginal, or uses samples?

I've just recently discovered that the track I've been hearing and liking on radio at random times is Tilt - Twelve. I've read up on this production, and have never seen a mention of it using samples. But the female vocals and classical instrumentation in the breakdown remind me VERY strongly of Hanz Zimmerman's style. Until I discovered that the track was written by Tilt, I was almost sure that whoever produced it used samples from Zimmerman's soundtrack to Last Samurai.

If not, Tilt is indeed a very talented and obviously classicaly-trained musician. The chords are just so... powerful. Thoughts?

Stan.

yup, i think you're right. The vocal is sampled from the soundtrack's 9th track titled "Mary Goes To Jesus"

Tilt are actually 'they'

I cant remember exactly, but it started off with andy moor, mick parks, john g, and some other bloke, and a few of them left the group, now there are 2 i belive... moor and mick parks.

anyways, if you just heard of them, ur missing out.

i recommend these:
Tilt - Invisible
Tilt - The World Doesnt Know
Paul van Dyk - Rendezvous (tilt's quadrphonic remix)
Jan Johnston - Flesh (tilt remix) ** remains to be my most fav. tune ever.

check em out!

p.s. from what i've seen, most people aren't big fans of andy moor.. but i think his work is spectacular! expecially when he works with Leama (Leama and Moor)

Leama & Moor Feat. Ormandy - Distance Between Us

what a track!!! ^

Tilt started out as Mick Parks, Mick Wilson, and John Graham. after about 2001 or so, John Graham left to pursue his solo stuff as Quivver, and Parks & Wilson did a few things (Tilt - Left Of Centre EP) but in 2004, Andy Moor joined up with Parks & Wilson and started doing stuff as Tilt with them. Not every track is all 3 of them, but that's who Tilt is made up of now.

FYI, Andy Moor and Mick Parks (pretty sure) also do bootlegs under the 'Zoo DJ's' alias, and have bootlegged Radiohead (go to sleep, where i end & you begin) and Chemical Brothers (think it was asleep at the wheel?)

PS. The Orkidea Remix of Twelve also uses samples from the 3rd Matrix movie (Neo talking near the end saying he wishes Trinity could see what he sees)

humph

not the first time they just lifted something completley.

Their remix of stage one's breakdown is an exact replica of poltergiest - vicious circles break.
