Convert wav into chiptune-music. How?

Hey there!

Anybody know if its possible to convert "normal" music formats like wav or mp3 to mod or s3m? It's chiptune music, small simple music-files with very little size. Sounds like commodor64, amiga and those types of console-music

If it's not possible to convert the formats then please help me getting started making them myself =)
