HappyHappy Juno Reactor Appreciation Thread

Woah!! I cant get enough of Juno Reactor. Mindfuck all over the place. Seriously.

underated for sure

I'd say my personal favorite album by Juno Reactor would have to be "Bible of Dreams"

Jardin De Cecile
Komit
Swamp Thing
Kaguya Hime
Conga Fury
Children of the Night

Sometimes i laugh while listening to Juno Reactor. I tell my self "What the Fuck that was SICK"

I know psy and goa doesnt get much attention around this parts. But i'd like to check out some of the lesser known psy and goa artist that sound similar to Juno Reactor.

What do you people think?

Juno Reactor = class.
always been.

They aren't bad, but their best stuff was when they got Don Davis to write the smart bits on the Matrix scores, so they could do the driving beats 'n shit without having to think too hard. Some of their stuff doesn't come off because it's too pretentious for me. Bible of Dreams was 50% ace, 50% dull.

I'd have to agree, especially the divine Man With No Name mix that Judge Jules played in '99...

Definetly an artist that has an aquired taste...but the same goes with goa/psy...it's tough music to even begin to understand but definetly has a lot of depth and interest to it.

check out their livevideo.. shango live tour 2001 from tokyo. really good stuff, containing lots of painted africans banging on bongo drums and playing various instruments while ben plays the synths and alex paterson fingers on his decks.

I'm having trouble finding Non-Transparent Shadows

One of the best and most original psy groups out there for sure. The uniqueness is what makes them great, and that also make them hard to categorize. I like all of their releases, so it's hard to pick a favourite. The great "Labyrinth" album released last year is worth mentioning though, probably my favourite cd of 2004.

I saw them/(him??) at a festival recently and must say I was a bit dissapointed. I had heard a lot about them before I saw them and while they did have an amazing stage prescence it just felt more like a Marilyn Manson concert than a psy act. They played at 6am and launced into this big ambient/interpretive performance shit. Not what your after at that time of the morning really. Also I thought Juno was just one guy?? Cos they seemed to be three massive black guys dressed in tribal costume... (grass skirts, war paint... that sort of shit..) They were obviously miming too... banging drums completely out of time to the music... lol.

Their music is good but for them being teh gods of psy.. meh... I think they are a bit over rated. Quite a few newer live acts out there that could mess it up just as good.
