nice present

for starters:

1. what sequencer software are using ???

2. what midi interface are you using ???

3. are you using usb midi or standard midi cables in/out from
the keyboard to the pc midi device ???

BTW...the specs for this keyboard say it's usb powered or ac.....you
don't need both connected. unlug the ac if you using usb.

Im using Fl6 as stated above, and if you mean by the MIDI Interface " Controller" Im using the one they gave me, was on the Cd. Im using the Ac because i dont want it to take all the power and make the comp restart. I know it wont happen but being careful

Justin

Also you can catch me on AIM and MSNM

well it should just be a case of assigning the midi in/out to the keyboard controller in FL6. Does it have midi in and out sockets on the back of the keyboard ???? You may need a seperate midi interface to connect it to your PC.

Not sure if the usb acts as a midi device interface, what does the manual say ????

if you installed the software off the cd then you should see a new midi device in windows sound properties......if not then I suspect it doesnt have a midi device interface built into it.

yes, it may midi IN and OUT sockets, but does it have a dedicated midi device interface with drivers for a windows midi device? Thats what he needs to know.

Well i installed some drivers that came on a cd that was in the box...

Well Darksword tried to help me once again and it seems that i just had problems with the settings Its all working and thanks for the help Bedlam.

But i still got a question,

Say im moving a knob on the keyboard, and i want the exact movement of that knob to be a automation track, how would i do that, i know you can do that manualy but i want to like record what that knob is doing.

Justin

you have to setup an automation track and enable it for recodring from the midi keyboard. I don't have a clue how you do this in FL6
so I'm bailing out now.......

assign it to a nob press record then play and move the knob arround. but thats gonna be recorded in edit events.. anyone knows how to recorn in an automation clip btw?
