THIS DOESN'T BELONG IN THE LOCAL FORUMS I DON'T CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS!!
SURE, YOU MIGHT WANT TO ACTUALLY ADVERTISE IT DIRECTLY TO THE PEOPLE INDEGENOUS TO THE SURROUNDING ENVIRONMENT THAT THE EVENT IS ACTUALLY TAKING PLACE IN, BUT IT'S MUCH AWESOME-ER TO TELL EVERYONE, INCLUDING THE SERFS IN MONGOLIA ABOUT THE EVENT HAPPENING IN NEW YORK.
YOU HAVE MADE AN INCREDIBLE GLOBAL CONTRIBUTION!
THANKS FOR IT!!
twelfty
fucking hell! thats a bit steep aint it!
Id offer something better than Moet if i was charging those prices!
I wouldn't spend more than $70 on NYE. That's including water and parking. By the way, it's a bit late to have people from outside of the local event area to start booking plane flights and hotels, isn't it?

New York has really expensive NYE events. I'm paying $75 to see Carl Cox, which includes nothing more than admission. If you take a look at prices all around, it's not really cheaper at any of the large clubs.
I guess it's to be expected when we pay $20-50 on a normal night for cover for a big headliner.
Ask Mikey Mike what he payed for PvD at Roxy in November. It's always like that here. We also get longer sets, though. Cox's set is 6 hours, as was PvD's 2 months ago.
+1 ^^what groundhog said
That's how it is in NYC! All clubs charge a decent admission for headliners here, an extra $50 on entrance on New Year's Eve should be nothing (not saying everyone is rich) and thats the fact of the matter. Sucks money wise but entertainment wise, I don't think anything really compares to NYC. You aren't going to find your south beach hotties, or the euro-influence here, it's NYC - dirty dingy grimey classy modern and down right outrageous and yes we pay for that because that is what NYC is about.
It's like living "on the trend" nyc is constantly about a "scene" and it has to be the life you live here. we pay we play thats the fact, and I guess thats what attracts alot of tourist revenue, just the fact that it's NEW YORK CITY and you are capable of doing anything you want at any hour without any one knowing lol =P
?
ps-demoted caps locked much?
