Questions about Eurorail travel

Hello TAs. I'm looking to find out what average costs are for travel. Travel time; say from Amsterdam to Brussels and Brussels to Paris. Is it best to purchase tickets in advance or the day of travel? Any info would be appreciated. I'll be visiting Amsterdam late July early August, and I want to plan everything well in advance. Thanks in advance.

because of the millions of threads we get we opened a special sticky thread for all questions about holland to keep the NLTA frontpage clean from the millions 'hey im comming to amsterdam omfglolz' threads..

and that's only on a weekday.

you should hitchike. (especially through belgium is really recommended if you're under 20)
