Posted by TCB on Dec-31-2005 03:08:

fuck it was good. ive seen a few guys in the past try to do it in practice. but what timing and in the nhl under the pressure of a shoot out! wow.

Posted by Alex on Dec-31-2005 03:25:

Yup, pure insanity.

Kovalev > Malik

like my new sig?

Posted by Vermz on Jan-02-2006 02:01:

well nothing too special about it
every player in the NHL can do this
but they arent fackall enought to try to pull it in a shoot out cuz there is not a lot of chance to score doing it

it's nice to see tho

la faiblesse entre les deux jambes encore une fois

t'as raison.

The reason he tried it is because the shootout was tied going into the 15th round. 15th round!! That means no-one could beat Kolzig, so he tried something crazy. He definitely has balls though!

quote:
"I was watching everything before me," said Malik, who has not scored a regulation goal this season. "Olie was unbelievable, he stopped everything from shots, moves. I just thought to myself, 'Maybe I'll surprise him.' I tried the move and it worked."

15th round ?!?!?! woaahhhh he has balls yes haha !!

mets-en! I still think Spezza's goal vs Habs when he deeked Souray+Theo in OT and Crosby's shootout goal vs Habs are more skillful:

Spezza goal (end of highlight package)

Crosby goal (end of highlight package)

Plus they both knock off the water bottle too

Yeah, spezzas goal is out of this world...Although I don't find Crosby's netter being anything extraordinary. And please don't post any more goals scored against the Habs...

hahaha it just happens that 2 of the 3 sickest goals of the year so far were scored against Theo (Malik being the 3rd). Sucks to be him, we're gonna see those replays over and over for a long time!

Posted by Bertuzz on Jan-18-2006 01:23:

Anybody see Ovechkin's goal in the 3rd against Phoenix???
Unreal!

Over the head, behind the back, 1 hand on the stick, falling into the corner. Fine he got a break with Boucher misplaying it a bit, but still. AMAZING!

IMO, better than Malik's goal. Anyone can do the stick between the legs. Show me a goal that comes close to this one thIs year.

even gretzky thought it was INSANE:

quote:

When Wayne Gretzky admires a goal, that says something.

''That was pretty sweet,'' the Great One said after Alex Ovechkin led the Washington Capitals to a 6-1 rout of Gretzky's Phoenix Coyotes on Monday. ''You know, he's a phenomenal player, and he's been a tremendous influence in the game.

''It's great to see, because he is that good.''

From ovechkin himself:

quote:

''The best goal I ever scored,'' Ovechkin said. ''I just went down and shot.''
