Day One at Viva was absolutely amazing, loved every little minute of it. Elevation really did have a nice set going on, talked to him a bit and no complaints. Didn't get to speak to Pulser but that's alright, even though I had two chances to do so basically.

Hopefully I'll upload some of the pictures I took from the event on some kind of online photo album.

Again, awesome night... loved it!

Dragon fly=ummmmmmm yeah
Elevation=good
Pulser=Great
Mark Oliver= woot woot

Tyler thanks for tickets again, it was much appreciated.
NAda good times and that was crazy having andrea out with you again, good memories from the cottage.
To everyone else you know who you are, far too many to write now and quite frankly I am way too lazy to even attempt.

Hope you all have a great NYE doing whatever it is that you do.

Posted by VERTiG0 on Dec-31-2005 17:52:

WHAT A NIGHT!

Got there around 12:15ish with my sister and her friend Stacey, they were blown away by the place when we got in. "I'M CHRISTMAS MORNING EXCITED!"

Went up and said hi to about 30 of you as usual, lots of familiar faces of course which is fucking awesome, and a few new ones too. Nice to meet Mortyman (Chris) and SonicSunflower (Tammy), a fellow Cambridge resident! If I've forgotten anybody else I met, I apologize.

Tim and Chiclet pounded the shit out of us with their back to back hard techy stuff. Phenomenal as usual. Then came Elevation, who delivered on his promise to play a near lack of prog. While his tunes still had proggy elements (right Pett?) it was very trancey which made things all good. And yeah, again dude, I enjoyed the set

Pulser. Mr. Andy Perring. Holy shit! His set was nothing but bombs all around. But of course, nothing, NOTHING could match when he dropped My Religion. Nada and I lost it when the bassline was kickin' in. The crowd was going completely fucking wild and the energy was great to keep us sober shitheads going.

Packed it up just after My Religion though, after hearing Jonas Steur - Castamara and Barber's Adagio for Strings (Ferry Corsten remix). Left just after 5:30ish I believe.

People: 37/10
Music: 11/10
Vibe: 100000/10

You people make the party. Thank you everybody for being there. Well, almost everybody.

HUGE thanks to Paradigm for dragging Pulser out to Viva. This is the most fun I've had in a while.

Posted by Superstring on Dec-31-2005 18:22:

Wow

Wow.. Left around 5:30, feet and body couldn't take any more abuse. What an awesome night!!! Props to the DJ's on keeping the crowd energy level ueber-high all the time! Now...

~4:15 -- I feel wonderful
~4:20 -- Strange world

That was the highlight of the night for me. Oh yeah, Elevation also played a funky remix of Who Is Watching I think.. that was insane. That's when I ran up to the front and pounced on the floor with my feet

Hmmm, iLLnaDa - I've never seen more energy on the floor. Damn, you can move!

Aight.. gym and then more sleep... See you guys tonight at the Docks..

drumroll... Ladies and Gentlemen -- DUMONDE!!!!

completely agree with that.

I love partying with the TA's... it's always a positive environment to enjoy some the best music around. It was wicked to see all the TA's again, and great to meet some more. Great to finally meet you Spitty... too bad Lisa wasn't there so i could witness this "Holy Dance Trinity" everyones been talkin about.

As for the music, I came around the middle of Drag N Fly's mix, and man was it pumpin! Kai Tracid - Conscious (A*S*Y*S Remix) WOOOT!

There was a kinda weird moment when Elevation came on... the music went from HARD trance to Chilled out Progressive Trance. But Elevation effin' delievered! Starting out super progressive, then building up to wicked melodic prog... a perfect opening for pulser for sure.

And Pulser, oh man, he killed it! One of the best sets I've heard live in a long time! I was bouncing off the walls when he played Point of Impact, My Religion, AND CLOUDWALKING!!! Cloudwalking is definitely on my list of the top 100 tracks of all time.

The Highlight of the Night: Pulser giving me an autographed copy of Square One
Andy is such a nice guy! The funny thing is, i had forgotten my pulser & elevation records at home... but this made up for it 10 fold!

Thank Paradigm, TranceAddicts, Pulser, Elevation, and anyone else involved, for one of the most memorable nights this year!

Except for a few minor problems (like the damn elevator getting stuck!) & a very crappy drive on the way back home.

THE NIGHT WAS FUCKING AWESOME!!

The music was great, but the crowd was even better.
Always love going crazy with TA's

It was also great re-meeting a whole bunch of you. Im too tired & lazy to write shout outs too all of you. So i'll just wish all of you a happy new year.

Thanks for the ride down Branden.

And Cale, your sister is hot! (haha, hes gunna beat me when he reads that)

HAPPY NYE EVERYONE!

Alright so I just woke up a few minutes ago -- going to give my full review now

First off that was probably the best night I've had -- I had huge expectations and each one of them was passed. Met a few TAs although I didn't speak much, discovered I had a problem with telling them my TA name because you can't really pronounce it in English

Reached the club at 11:15ish because my friends decided to go early -- didn't really bother me. Relaxed for a while and then decided to jump in during Drag'nFly's set which was a bit too hard for my taste to open with -- but still I enjoyed it. At 1:30 things really got started for me, Elevation came on and started delivering a short prog-like trance buildup till he got to the main show. Mike came through with his promise to me of playing Love Theme Dusk and that absolutely made me fly.

Around 3:00 Pulser came on and from the beginning we heard Hammer & Funabashi - This Moment (amazing vocals) as well as Sincere. One after another Andy dropped bombs making everyone go completely nuts. Highlights from his set: Purple Haze - Adrenaline, Push - Strange World 2006, Jan Johnston - I Feel Wonderful/Skydive, Jonas Steur - Castamara, and to end it off Barber's Adagio For Strings (Ferry Corsten Remix). I still had skydive in my head in my dreams

I only stayed for part of Mark Oliver's set, left at about 6:00 (happily with the Ocean Rain vinyl -- thanks again Mike!) -- From what I was there for I really enjoyed Oliver's set, and overall had an amazing night. Thank you Paradigm for bringing us this unbelievably successful night, Aaron for the tickets, Elevation & Pulser for making my night as good as it was and to the TAs for keeping the crowd moving nonstop. And yeah, this definitely deserves some

I'm going to try to come to Viva tonight -- if it's up to me I'll be there - but if not I hope everyone has an amazing night no matter where they are and a happy new year!

-Tom

Dancing Dude Wild Night

Left Waterloo at 7:30pm and it was clear sailing to Markham, got to the address and went in... took a few minutes to figure where the hell this pool hall was. Looking at the list and you got a restaurant and a rub and tug.. umm what the hell.. (finally noticed the snooker sign by the elevator) talk about a stoner moment..

Meet with Pulsar and Elevation, cool cats... Props to all the TA's that went to the Pre-party, that pool hall has prolly never seen that much energy! It was good to see old faces and new ones.

So we go to leave, and we are thinking, let's jam as many people in this elevator as possible.. Why not, like it's gonna get stuck, this a brand new elevator and looks in good working condition.. NOT!!

So yah we got stuck on the ground floor and the door won't open..so we're pushing all the buttons, someone is on the phone, finally something happens, it goes back up to the second floor! geez louise. finally after several minutes we escaped the Markham box of death..

Got to viva, as usual the place is barren, and the only peeps there are TA's.. Let the drinking begin.

Drag 'n fly dropped some classic hard trance tracks that got my feet pounding (takes me back to Destiny's Ascension Parties), despite some oopsies loved the set.

Elevation - Never heard this guy before, i don't get to Detroit that much and it's usually only to go fishing! Come back to Toronto more often guy, you dropped a great set and set the mood for Pulsar. Great Job.

Pulsar - What can i say, oh yah, Fuck yah.. Just blew me away.. Not only can this guy create great choons, but he can spin them up on a musical platter.

Despite my lack of energy all night it was a great time.. got to kick up my feet a bit, but more importantly had a great time with a bunch of great peeps...

oh and before i jet and head back to sleep.. I just have to say andrea. You are nutz, where does all that energy come from? You kept that dance floor moving... ahh to be young again.

I hope everyone got home alright, and have a great new year.. I'll see ya at the next event sometimme in the future..

p.s. Who took my walker? Nurse! Nurse! get my wheelchair. it's off to the couch for me. Latah!

Highlight of the night!

Didnt somebody actaully say "watch this elevator get stuck". And sure enough it did.

I dont think those elevators are designed for people who arent 4 ft tall.

oh yah... 16 peeps my ass. more like 6 Canucks.
