Favorite Trance Tracks / Producers / DJs Year 2006

Which one you think are going to be huge this year?

I think Tiesto will be back to No. 1 slot this year.

Armin van Buuren is over-rated and will slip down below Top 10.

What you guys think?

As the time passes, you can also post you favorite track for year 2006 in this thread.

I think Tiesto - Traffic (2006 re-edit f0 the masses) will be massive!

LOL Armin will truly NOT fall below the top 10

Goa/Psy will become more popular in 2006.

I know you were joking...

but new edits of Traffic, Lethal Industry and Portishead have been made

Sometimes its best not to kid about this stuff for fear it becomes reality!

I hope not, I like to be able to listen to a genre without every arminwhore bumming it.

On a slightly related note, I think the more old skool goa sounds will re-emerge slightly, not as g ood as before, but still better than armintrance.

^^ that guy is my hero

I think Paul van Dyk will start a huge promo tour in spring.

Gigs at the Disneylands in Los Angeles, Orlando, Paris and Tokio will be confirmed soon.

Later this year Paul looks forward to his first big concerts. As the #1 DJ of the world he knows what his fans dream of so he will play in front of 20.000 people on all continents. He plans to mix with ableton on one notebook while chatting LIVE to his internet fans with the other notebook. This way he tries to satisfy the internet fans who weren't that nice to him over the past years.

And finally he has a special gift for all trance lovers. Instead of waiting another 4 years for TPOD #3 he decides to release a new episode every 2 months! Yes you heared right!!! 6 TPOD's a year...he truly deserves to be the #1!!!

Without a doubt Paul will win the DJ Mag voting in 2006 too...he's truly the peoples champion!!!

He is not a guy, she is a girl.

And why is it that he is your hero?

Posted by Rainborn on Jan-02-2006 12:48:

Oh yeah, Joni Ljungqvist will rule too!

No disrespect to any of the big names but I wanna see some new names releasing quality trance without copying other sounds.

Posted by dannyc on Jan-02-2006 13:42:

my hunch is that armin will get it this year with him kinda going the way of tiesto with his soon to be released dvd armin only concert and him most likely stepping up his touring particularly in the states etc and more releases and remixes from him

edm will become mainstream in the U.S. and will substitute Rap and R&B in popularity!

Posted by dannyc on Jan-02-2006 14:01:

ha ha doubt it man i seriously doubt it. it would take nothing less than nuclear holocoust to remove rap from american charts

Man, exactly what I was thinking...

Posted by eisbaer6 on Jan-03-2006 05:43:

you wanna hear some amazing stuff from new talent that you may not hear very often. Some of my picks for 06 are starting to release some quality stuff and I expect them to start doing some bigger things.
Maor levi
Kenneth Thomas - some amazing new tracks he produced getting released early in 06.
Joni Ljungqvist or however u spell it
And imma go ahead and say that i hope for an oakenfold comeback with his new stuff. I am also hoping jon o bir and menno de jong become bigger. Both great track selections. I dunno what to expect from the top 5 though. Just my opinion. Havent been impressed with tiesto productions or live mixing, pvds getting some good mixes in but productionwise havent heard anything great outta him. Whoever thinks armin is gonna fallout of top10 good luck with that, that guy has a huge fanbase for a dj, and im not talking commercial fans like tiesto has.
