Review: New Years Day at CZ
Banging morning/afternoon...
all the regulars threw down bomb sets....
addy's 3 hours was a BIG highlight..especially the last 2 hours...zone was going ape shit 
...what an ovation after he finished. Dekoze was slower than most of his 2 hour quickies but still good...Dark and grimy is the best way to describe his music. He seemed to be holding back though with his montreal gig with donald glaude later that night obviously looming on his head.
Manzone and strong were next and simply tore the place apart...funky hard beats with amazing bass...
Highlight of the event was mr. nathan barato...lotsa room to dance...simply mindblowing tunes....hardest set of the morning. SHook me to my core....left zone at 4pm...
might go back..

I bought my tickets ahead of time (45$), went there after docks, sat down for 2 hours watching people play pool and left.
First time being there , and last. It makes me want to quit partying

Heh well I made it there eventually, worst of all the coat check was FULL so it was me walking around this low-ceiling roof carrying this winter apocalypse day-after-tomorrow style jacket.

p.s. another highlight was simon jain dropping Luke Chable's Ride upstairs....great way to end the day!

I just get a little defensive when it comes to the zone...
One thing that it is GREAT for is that lately, alot of new talent has been appearing downstairs...

I don't think I have ever had a pic up of anyone but myself or a monkey...maybe you saw a monkey at CZ? I think samhouse and I have actually met before, but I can't remember where... maybe at the 5 hr dekoze set..santa hat ring a bell?
Well, review of Comfort Zone...
Got there at 7ish..not sure about the concept of time anymore. Addy played really well...the usual ass dropping beats...2 hours of dekoze not enough...yet again... That place was a freaking whirl wind! I am still in shock!
There was a man dressed up in a suit and tie and jacket dancing upstairs of the zone like a white gloved raver! I was like 'what!?'
I am used to going there with the usual suspects having space to dance..the regulars to talk to, the polite boys town to chat with whose bums looks better...but I tend to get in really bad funks when I have NO space to dance... and I tend to be a little claustrophobic..I need at least 2 square metres to dance...I am sure Illnada will agree with this...and if i don't have it I will get cranky and leave...
So at 12 I left and went back to the hotel... Returned at 7 pm to hear Sydney Blu...she's awesome...I usually miss her at zone cause she plays so late. There were less people, but more crackheads! Yes, the freaks were out my friends...! Out on the prowl...looking for monkies I think, or is what I thought at the time... just left after 3 hours of dancing to hit 270...oh was I in for a treat when I got there.
P.S. crack is not in a monkies diet... mixes bad with bananas...
And another thing that bothered me at the zone was the rudeness... one guy asked me if I wanted to hit him...!
Another guy poured water over his head and shook his sweaty head all over the place...when I gave him a nasty look he continued to take the sweat from his forehead and throw it at me as i walked away ...all in all...not good! Creeps and freaks really come out on NYE...
Composure people...composure!
ok its not killah monkey....that is confirmed...
I WILL FIND OUT WHO THAT WAS!!!!!!!
