Effect Processor: Advice?

Hi,

I'm maybe interested in buying an effect processor, but I don't have a clue what kind or mark is good enough for a bedroom DJ? Is here someone who knows which one I should try out?
The effects that I really want are Chorus, Flanger, Echo. Others are welcome to...

PS: Keep in mind: not too expensive

I'm not really into FX, but I have heard some good stories about the Alesis AirFX; cheap, small FX processor which costs about 140 euro's..

Maybe worth looking into..

This one seems very nice to me, reading to review! Very nice effects for that price..
If someone knows other FX-Processors in ths price-range, please tell me

Thanks already, Joost

Since you are from Belgium, it would be a good idea to start looking into german online shops, because they are very cheap and usually have a lot of stock and good service.

If you take a look at www.dj-laden.com and go to the "DJ Equipment --> DJ Tools" section, you'll find a lot of FX gear in all priceranges.

If you can speak Dutch I can recommend you to read the reviews at www.new-line.nl (Dutch DJ gear shop).

Good Luck!

The Pioneer unit is better than the Alesis one, but the Alesis one is cheaper and funner to use.

I can tell you guys tomorrow about the Alesis airFX, it should arrive then

Posted by Psiweaver on Jan-08-2006 20:18:

pioneer has more control and is a better unit than the air fx the air fx is fun to use and the price point is nice.

It has arrived, and I must say: Impressive!

'Played' with it for about 2 hours, and it's killing me! Very nice effects (not all of them are sounding good, some even terrible) but most of them are perfect to use. There's for example one sound that creates the Montana Sound (listen the beat in the beginning of his Remix of Lizard by Mauro Picotto).

8/10 Good quality/prize!
