This Victor Calderone set comes via a broadcast in August 2005 from FM radio station 99esc. Victor wastes no time and gets right into it with a remix of "Holmes Ives - 8 Letters" released on Shinichi (Yoshi sub-label) in early 2005. From start to finish this set feels like a peak hour performance recorded right out of a nightclub gig. This set has no lull or extended breakdown, it's just 55 minutes of Victor Calderone at his best - driving, dark, tribal house. If this set doesn't make you get up and move - you need to get your ears checked (and maybe some dancing lessons).
Born in Brooklyn, Victor Calderone's DJ career began in 1996 when he was invited to guest DJ at Liquid in Miami. After a massive initial success he was invited to become resident of New York nightclub Roxy. Now known for playing 6+ hour tribal-infused sets at Crobar NYC and Stereo Montreal, Victor has become a staple of the global house scene. On the production side - Victor's "Give It Up" and "Beat Me Harder" made it to #1 on Billboard's Dance Chart in 1996. Calderone's production work has focused mainly on remixes - working with artists such as: Sting, Madonna, Bette Midler, Garbage, K.D. Lang, Elton John, Destiny's Child, Chus & Ceballos, Superchumbo, Shapeshifters, D-Formation, That Kid Chris, Orbital and more.
* Victor Calderone has risen to the top of my "must see" list for 2006 (you'll see why when you listen to this set). I hope you enjoy this set as much as I do. Lets keep our fingers crossed that he'll come to Toronto soon. Oh yeah, this is DDTT.

Holy shit on a dry stick. Just listened to RJ's Mr Calderone set and that just hit the spot. Was trying to get to sleep but the DDTT goodness kept my ass shaking while lying on my bed.

i just listend to victor calderone's set on my way to work and i give it 2 banging drums up way up !!!! great set, it made a shitty morning on the way to work enjoyable
