Ferry Corsten - Right of Way
I just got this album today from the Tsunami record label. Anyone know why it plays in slower BPM then the version from the Right of Way album? Thanks.
I am just going to go ahead and assume Ferry sped it up for the album. If so, I am dissapointed.
All I know is that a bunch of releases from the Tsunami label (at least on 12") are recorded on almost, if not exactly the same BPM. Easy as fuck to mix a few in a row.
Whether it's got anything to do with what you're saying, idunno.
Doesn't sound any different to me.
Interesting. I hit the 45BPM button on my tables and all is well. Its always on 33 so I didn't think of it.

hahah that happened to me when i got my first turntables.
when i finaly figured out how to hook everything up and get sound... i threw on a remix of benassi's satisfaction
it was supposed to be played at 45 and was on 35 (i didn't know any better)
and my friend and i looked at each other for a second... "this is a really chilled mix".... "cool"
a couple days later i figured it out hahaha
psml = pissing myself laughing
I've got Right of way too its a great vinyl, love both sides i can imagine that...no offence but it should be abvious that you've got the wrong speed going lol.
Not sure what the real reasing behind the different speeds of vinyls is though i assume 45 rpm is mainly used for shorter tracks aka under 8 minutes and 33 rpm for longer tracks, theres also a difference when you're scratching, you get a different frequency sample.
I was thinking about this again when I was at work tonight, and I've had the idea to do an animation about this little episode. It's ages since I've done one, so I dunno how it will turn out.
Also it's already 8am so I'm not sure how much longer can stay motivated. Oh well, I'll see what I can get done!
Kyoto on 33rpm kicks ass
