Max Graham at Rise Boston Review 12/30

I finally am putting up this review...lol

Max came on at 3 and started off with some dark tech-house tracks and got the floor moving pretty well and then started getting into his signature melodic techy progressive house style...It was good seeing some Boston Ta's out there..It was too bad that the crowd got really weak after 5...It was the night before New Year's so that was to be expected but MG was still throwing down sick tunes....He almost killed the Rise speakers when he dropped Eye Wall - Bad Deal (Remy and Roland Klinkenberg Remix) .Hopefully he comes back to Boston sometime soon in 06 either at Rise or Avalon.

Trainspots:

Cirez D - Rematch
Max Graham - Automatic Weapon
Eye Wall - Bad Deal (Remy and Roland Klinkenberg)
Pryda - Aftermath
Royksopp - What Else Is There (Trentemoller Remix)
Envotion Featuring Laura Camilla - Vessel of Poison
Nunez, Romero, and Morillo - Dancin (Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso's Metallica Is Dancing Remix)

More fun nights at rise to come this year

Really weak after 5? I thought Boston clubs weren't open that late?

Rise is open from 1:30 am to 6:30 sometimes much later....depending on the crowd and the dj....The low end specialists went till 9 am I believe once last year and Roger Sanchez went till 730 or 8am

www.Riseclub.us

I have more fun at rise than I do at avalon or axis for club nights usually now....It's really a unique club...No alcohol is served that's why it's allowed to stay open past 2am.There are really good djs that frequent there.....Steve Porter is there alot, Chris Fortier, Roger Sanchez, Seb Fontaine, Luke Fair, Paolo Mojo, Christopher Lawrence, Satoshi Tomiie, Cass, and even Danny Tenaglia played there once in 2001..

I had no idea. I guess Boston isn't so bad after all. I might have to head up there sometime.

We do get the really good talent most of the time...It's just the damn liquor curfew (2am).I wish we had Angello or Ingrosso soon....We'll see what happens.

When MG dropped that song, the place was NUTS. I've never heard so much bass in my life, he almost blew the speakers. Good night of music, crowd was pretty weak though. Good seeing you that night bro...

The only time I've heard more bass was when Digweed dropped Roland Klinkenberg - Bounce at Avalon...That was intense back in august of 2003.....figures that its another Klinkenberg track

Remy and Klinkenberg have always been up their for top producers in my book ever since hearing RR Workshop - Mess With The Bull back on Northern Exposure 3
