The Thrillseekers Feat. Gina Dootson - By Your Side [ADJ006]

The Thrillseekers Feat. Gina Dootson - By Your Side (Original Mix)
The Thrillseekers Feat. Gina Dootson - By Your Side (Martin Roth Mix)

Aparently promos for this track are out.

Awsome track, what did it for me was the vocals, kinda different from 'Dreaming of You' but still very very nice. Martin Roth remix mite do it for the more trancy people, but i like the original.

8/10!

I really enjoy the original. The main vocals in the chorus are really great.

This is a great track, will be buying this for sure

8/10

Not a fan of the roth remix but i've only heard it a couple of times, could grow on me. The original is ace

Posted by Magnus on Jan-05-2006 02:11:

My opinion. The original's vocals are horrible. That is some of the worst female vocals I've heard in a track in recent memory. I guess I expected more from the Thrillseekers and frankly I'm shocked.

Secondly, while I love Martin Roth's sound, for shit's sake, that guy seriously needs to change some things up. His remix sounds exactly like his remix of the Other Side with just a few chord changes. I'm thinking he just has a template project which he opens, edits as necessary, and respawns another slightly different cloned Roth track. Again, just my opinion.

Same with me - loving the vocals! The Martin Roth Remix adds a little more energy to the original which is generally brilliant!

Posted by neoraver on Jan-06-2006 10:34:

the original mix kicks ass, gotta love the vocals

Posted by Hanki on Jan-06-2006 11:39:

Original Mix is quite good, pretty nice instrumental parts, but generally speaking I don't dig those vocals and most parts of the backround, just thought, that Steve will do something better. Roth Remix is just a typical shit from him, nothing really new and special...

Posted by DarkMemoria on Jan-06-2006 12:56:

I don't think its nearly as powerful as 'Dreaming of You', which has fluffy style lyrics too but its more emotional and personal. Like most other posters, I think the lyrics in this are a bit cheesey, but its still not a bad song. Won't turn it off if it comes on, but its nothing overly special. Good relaxing / chill-out song. The Roth remix doesn't do much for me, but it gets better the more times I hear it.

Posted by RebeL9 on Jan-06-2006 13:08:

seriously. this is more pop than trance. horrible vocals

haven't heard the remix yet but damn have Steve made anything outstanding since Affinity?

i really liked that ambient version which was out... can't remember who did it though?

quite like the tune. vocals are very nice, yes cheesey, but imo it doesnt spoil the song. has a very nice relaxed feel to it.

good stuff but nothing outstanding like what we expect from steve. e.g hydra, remix of reflect.

7/10

I was under the impression that Steve was gonna do a clubby mix ala the Thrillseekers sound we know, atleast that's what he told me. Not sure what's going on with that now tho.

Quite cool tune, but I'm a little dissapointed with the vocals I must say. I'm waiting for a new production by Steve Helstrip and it wouldn't be wrong too cut off those vocals, not a fan of vocals but that's just me.

Not too bad, a nice tune to chill out with. I don't think I'd spend my money on it though...

I do really look forward to seeing that mix to be released. Trance needs no more pop house fusion. Leave them to G&D, Deep Dish and Max Graham.
