ehh, never really got into them. too surferish/regaee (sp) for me. i mean, i enjoy a few of their songs, but i was never like, "OMG I LOVE SUBLIME"

Yeah, same here. I feel that way about a lot of bands actually. Bands like Weezer, 311, System of A Down, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Our lady Peace...I enjoy some of their songs but i was never fanatical.

SOAD, Nirvana & Pearl Jam...ok yea, i was/am fanatical about them.

Pearl Jam "Black" owns me.

i love rock...i listen to it all day at work. i especially like the newer bands like Korn, Mudvayne, Crossfade, etc... "newer" meaning like since Nirvana & Pearl Jam.

Audioslave rocks too and of course Red Hot Chilis and Rage Against the Machine (didn't get into them until recently...a little late, but oh well).

Godsmack opening for Metallica was a great concert!

as much as i used to love 311 and Sublime, they do have a bunch of songs that i really don't care for... i mostly just listen to old CDs of bands i used to like just for the memories.

same thing with Incubus... they have sooo many great songs i love and then others that i just don't like at all.

when it was so "in" with the rock genre and everything, fav bands included smashhing pumpkins, sublime, 311, olp, etc . .. i cant think of anymore ..

Oh and here's a funny little anecdote about Sublime:

On our lunch break at work a couple years ago, we called into the local rock station to request a song because it was the request hour. Of course we requested a Sublime song. They didn't have the one we wanted so they played Lovin'. Good enough, at least we got some Sublime. The funny part is that it was also theme request Friday, and the songs requested had to keep with the theme for that day. We had no idea the theme of the day was "Artists who partied too much"...we also had no idea that day was the anniversary of Bradley Knowles' death.

Crazy shit huh???
