Even though i smashed the screen on my camera on the way in it still took pic since i coulden't aim some ppl look suprised lol

The second DJ was Tim, aka Dj Tygon!

Tonight was... unique.

I had a good time but at the saeme time i was a little pissed off.

There was a lot of drama with thoise three bitches, *who all deserve to have their asses kicked if you as k me*.

Anyway, Dennis... AMAZING set. Teen spirit always gets me going. Seriously, best soong of the night. Those girls grinding you the entire time was massive jokes. Thank you for getting me on line bypass. I have never been so damn happy to have it. Seriously... 10 PM and the line looked to be about an hour wait at least. It was a great feeling to go to the front of the line as they all look at me like "Where The hell do you think you're going". INTO THE WARMTH BAHAHA! OK, really im not evil....

When the started on Tim, I tapped the on girl on the shoulder and I pointed to Andrea... said "see that girl? That's his fiance." She was like "OH SHIT" HAHAH, dumb chicks. Oh, and she was all like "COME UP HERE AND DANCE WITH ME". ahahah! Someone told me she had a crush on me... hee hee. Guys, get your mind out of the gutter!

Tim you were awesome as per usual. I felt like you and I should have benn the bouncers tonight. Seemed like we were the ones on top of shit. HAaha

Anyway, It was sooo awesome to see Maria and Joanna again, and it was nice to meet their friend *which I cannoyt remember her name for the life of me go figure*. Thank you to carl for the ride home... dude, you have the best energy out there. You always make me laught when see you going nuts, with no alcohol no less. Dan good to see you , thanks for the redbull. I pawned it off on Carl tho... haha! That shit makes me sick... but thank you anways.

Andrea, you are so awesome. I love your spunk... ok that sounds wrong, but you know what I mean *I hope* I'm looking forward to more partying with you.

anyway, i should probably go to bed seeing as im considerably drunk, and being on the net will do me no good.. haha! i work tomorrow.

Hey maria... PM me, or ask barry *or one of the other people on here who have my contact.. which is a lot of them*, for me email addy. We should stay in touch.

Anyway, other than the few bumps on the road from the skank whores of hell, everything seemed to go smoothly. I had an awesome time!! Wooo

I would like to say thx for getting ivan onto guest list and I came at the end of dennis's set which was amazing. The 2nd dj was the worst i have ever heard.......which ruined my night. The reason he was so bad is because he played no dumonde, tiesto, armin or any other dj's when ivan asked him if he had tiesto he said no......how do u not have tiesto~!? He had no vocal music.....all beats thats it for 3 hours.

Ok, jsut becauase you dont like "beats" doesnt make him a bad dj. You just didnt enjoy the music.

Oh well.. you seem to like all the fluffy mainstream stuff *by your list of artists*, and well, thats fine, but there is more outside of that particular bubble.

Yeah. Second dude was Tygon.

HOLY SHIT ON A DRY STICK!

I'm surprised that the Purple Room is still standing after amount of sick beats just torn the place apart. First hour of Dennis was okay. Second hour was awesome. Tim came on and WOW. Top 3 Tygon set I've heard. He showed that you don't have to play tech trance and techno at high bpm as he played somewhere around 140-141 and it still sound fucking awesome. Wicked track selection, wicked mixing. Tim also played his new tune Rock Me and it sounded freaking amazing.

Lots of drama tonight though. One guy was so drunk that he couldn't defend himself against a girl and he got tossed out. A couple slow dancing to tech trance. WTF
Oh, and that chick who was grinding with Tim and Dennis for hours. Well, at least she provided eye candy. Dennis's expression was like, 'get this slut away from me!' Tim apparently doesn't get this kind of attention a lot as he had shit eating grin on his face.

Ah Purple Room. Always fun.

Tune of the Night: Marzz - Orbiter (Mark Sherry's 2006 Outburst mix)
Quote of the Night: Maria (Aria K) - 'Carl, I want pictures of you in rubber outfits to keep me company in England'
Overall: 9.5/10

Ah, you're a noob in the scene eh?

alright now that im positive whos who, i can say this, Dennis Hanh was amazing, simple as that i think i dont need to say more, however Tygon just needs to get some better tracks. I know its mostly personal taste BUT what he played was not trance, it was just beat, no melody, no vocals, nothing to keep me dancing. Also a must have for any DJ is Tiesto, tygon didnt have any Tiesto thats just unacceptable. His transitions were alright and overall he is not a bad DJ when it comes to skill but he definetly needs to get some good tracks. The only song, ONLY and im not kidding, that was recognizable was S.O.S. . When you play trance in a mostly hip-hop club you have to play more popular songs in order to get the attention of the mass. All the tracks were so similar it became boring. Like i said before, MORE MELODY AND VOCALS. Oh and not to forget, too many breaks i found myself standing and waiting for the buildup more than i had a chance to dance. Build-ups are cool and all but this was just 2 much. I hope tygon can read this cause im just trying to help, cause i can tell he has the skill.

Other than that, good night, lots of ppl actually filled the PR and nice atmosphere.

Tygon is is tech trance and techno DJ...

And you'd find that heck of a lot of DJs don't play Tiesto. Dennis don't play any Tiesto either.

Heck, I can't remember when was the last time a Tiesto tune was played in the purple room.

*shrug*
Everyone's got their own music taste.

+1 to thatt.

new? like the shoes i was wearing? no man im not new to trance just because i say i hated a set played by a dj....dont let this sites "ranking" confuse you im not here to be mean but i cant figure out why no popular songs were played thats all it jus ruined my night.

Posted by Platipus on Jan-07-2006 08:58:

I'm sorry but Tiesto is not a "must" for every DJ... and the true question is, Do you really want a bunch of Hip Hop peeeps in the Purple Room, it's bad enough wading through them to have a smoke... Secondly, or thirdly for people keeping track, were you not listening to the Set? Just beats baah, Do you know what a melody is? the melody can take shape in all aspects of an Orchestra not just the fluffly violins... but then it's not your fault, you are in training, eventually you'll pickup the finer points of a track, the subtle melody, the energy building sets, turn of the radio bub, and listen to a Digital Symphony.

Posted by ivanTA on Jan-07-2006 09:00:

alright eviltree, i have to say this, but just hte fact u used the term "noob" makes me think what kinda nerd are you. If you wanna hear a good Dj u shouldve been at the Docks for new years with me, raf and a bunch of other TA's and heard DUMONDE. Thats good DJing, Jamx and DeLeon owned the crowd and there was not one time i even taught about resting. In my opinion, track selection makes the DJ, what Tygon played was just repetative and boring, i dont care what style of EDM u listen to, i guarantee the songs u remember the best are the ones with the melody and/or good vocals. Ill be honest with you i listen to everything and what Tygon played would be good songs for transitions cause all they are is a beat repeating. The buildups, some of them were so hecktic and random, the crowd didnt even know when to go wild. The one spanish song, or whatever the hell it was is not even trance, if you wanna categorize this was more house music if anything. Not even close to trance.

Now put the knife down Evil...

Posted by |2afael on Jan-07-2006 09:03:

LMFAO in training jesus man you have no idea I have been listening to trance and techno and hardcore for 5 years because i dont like a set im a newbie?

Posted by RandomGirl on Jan-07-2006 09:08:

I think that osme of us will get automaticallt on the defense when it comes to Tim, or even anyone else on ehere.

We Are a very close and tight knit group of people, we're friends... actual friends. So when you say something dissing Tim, we instinctivelty feel the need to defend.

You like different music than he played. Oh well, too bad, there is nothing that can be done now.

The end.

Posted by ivanTA on Jan-07-2006 09:09:

Alright, i think if you look back on ym first post you can see that i explained im not dissing, Tygon obviusly has skill, i was just suggesting to him to play more popular tracks if he wants more crowd attention. ok?

He gets a lot of good feedbac.

I mean, he was resident DJ in a larg club in Markham. People like him, so as much as your opinion is appreciated, it doesnt mean you are right.

Posted by Stilez on Jan-07-2006 09:21:

reading this...

I don't think Tim needs much .."advice"..to play more vocal tracks or commercial stuff. Every dj has their own sound. If Tim..or any other TA dj i personally know wanted to play more mainstream stuff... they'd be a Top40 dj.

Tim is a resident dj to a very large club outside TO.. VIVA ...which gets rammed to the tits every Fri. ....so he's obviously doing something right..and all those 100's... if not 1000's of people there seem to get it.

I personally.. do not play vocal tracks that much..nor Tiesto trax.

When I was at Rev. spinning...a million people came up to me asking me to play Tiesto.. it's natural. It's commercial and well known..but the majority of the trax...no one knew..and they were still dancing until they had to kick us out. I did however.. play AvB-Shivers... just to shut them up a bit.. but that was the only track anyone in there knew.

BTW.. Tim doesn't really play TRANCE.. so I wouldn't go there expecting him to play Trance. He plays mainly TECHNO. So I guess you guys aren't big Techno fans then. Oh well...can't please everyone.

.. oh yeah! welcome to TA

Posted by Platipus on Jan-07-2006 09:22:

suggestion noted. Personally, i don't like hearing popular tracks, i can do that at home, at work, in my car. I go to the club to hear new tracks.

the night was a perfect progression. dennis warmed up the crowd and got the energy moving, playing several tracks i had heard all day from Armin's State of Trance 221.. Tygon took that energy to the next level. i danced hard all night.. loving every bass drop and buildup.. needed glowsticks..
