help pls: pc restarts by it self
Hi guys
I don't know what happened with my computer. it started to restart by it self. no msg no nothing. it's like the power went off and on in a sec.
do you think this can be caused by a virus or it's a hardware probelm?

Microsoft update?
I don't think so. it did this like 3 times in 15 mins.
yesterday there was nothing wrong with it

check your powersupply ... i had same problem and my supply died so no cooling to cpu might get costy check that
did you check your event viewer for logs?
take off the side pannel.
Bet any money it's your power supply, or you are having over heating probs.
It probably doesnt have any air supply.
Blast some old air supply tunes and she'll be up and about in a sec!
before you do anything drastic like get buy a new psu, see if taking off the side pannels work.

ok i had the probelm since my last post.
it resetarted my pc but when it switched on, the power goes on, but I didn't get the start screen (first screen with pc specs)
after like /12 an hour, the computer starts again normal (probably gonna restart soon)
this is power supply right?
am a noob with computers so please keep the language simple

it's haunted
the probelm turned out to be in one messed ram chip (incase someone faces the same problem later...)
yea, I usually take off the side panel and check all the fans to make sure they are running. Smell for burning. Then switch out RAM chips if you can and see if that solves it.
I kept getting this crazy error on mine. It would start up but a few seconds into it woudl stop and an alarm sound would go off. Ends up being a warning that my cpu heatsink fan was dying. I replaced it and all is good.
