Love Poundin' Sensation Three Drives on a Vinyl - Greece 2000 (Man With No Name Remix)

they don't make them like this anymore

just heard this a couple of minutes ago for the first time . its good. no original greece 2000 but good.

Posted by GrimReaper on Jan-08-2006 23:58:

This is indeed one of MWNN's finest remixes.

i was playing around with some old goa on traktor for time-passing purposes last night & went from Art of Trance - Capricorn to something doof to MWNN - Sugar Rush (Refined Mix) to greece 2000, and for something that's essentially perfect in a normal trance set, it sounded even better on the end of that

Posted by isoterra on Jan-09-2006 00:10:

i went for about 6 years thinking this was the original

awesome tune, def king of the mixes

Posted by GrimReaper on Jan-09-2006 00:12:

Heh that's cool Ian, things like that tend to happen with certain tracks.

the best of the greece 2000 remixes and my second-fave mwnn remix (behind octopus) -- anyone know what he's up to lately?

still active, working on a new album.
hopefully it will be better than the last one, Interstate Highway.
if he quits the scene will definatly loose one of its greatest names. Martin Freeland have been in the EDM scene even before trance! And the fact that he pioneered the entire goa trance speaks for itself. a true legend.

thx for the info on the new album -- never into goa too much but i always thought his perfecto-era stuff was aces =)

Heh, put this on yesterday at a pre-party (vorspiel). The people recognized it and wondered what "version" it was. I think it's the best remix of this tune, mwnn delivers

Posted by A.J. on Jan-09-2006 01:02:

Quite good, and definitely the best of the remixes, but i prefer the Original by far :P

Posted by stevieboy32808 on Jan-09-2006 02:02:

The remix is ok. It's not something worth buying though IMO.

Posted by TCB on Jan-09-2006 03:13:

good remix but the original sends a shiver down my spine everytime i listen to it.

Posted by Omega_Blue on Jan-09-2006 06:23:

sample?

i love greece 2000, of course, but not for the melody. my favorite parts of that track is the groovy bassline and the hi-hats that switch phrases once every four measures... meh.

There were plenty of pioneers, not just him ... lol. He was certainly a big influence though and one of the few that crossed the boundaries between trance and goa. I wish there were more collaborations like that these days. I'd like to see what Astral Projection could do with an Ronski Speed remix for example.

It's great! But original is the best

yeah I know, but I would say that MWNN was one of the really big ones. and most influental.
