It makes me want to gouge out my brain through my ears.

for the zillionth time. listen to the original:
ABBA - Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie (A Man after midnight).
it's just so much better. And funkier!

Lol. If you lived in the 70's the elitist disco addicts would chop you up. In that era this song is a prime example of poppy disco cheese. Although we are too young to remember, it's such a guilty pleasure that it's too good to ignore.

i dont like the original but SDP'S REMIX is pretty good

I love it. Hated it at first, and couldn't believe that this garbage came from Madonna, but eventually it started to grow on me. I am a big fan of her, she is one of very few mainstream artists out there who actually makes good and enjoyable music. And almost all her songs get remixed by EDM-artists which I think proves that.

I found the real cover:

One of the DJs at this club i was at for NYE dropped the dub when the ball dropped

Erasure did a bad ass remix of Gimme Gimme Gimme.

I'd be interested in hearing the instrumental mix Price had been playing out for a while. He made the instrumental section before Madonna had done the lyrics and playing it in his sets, and while he was playing it his was apparently taking photos of the crowd with his phone and sending it to Madonna with the caption along the lines of "This is the effect of your new tune" (taken from an interview with him).

The version that has been released though:

i prefer:

the clash vs. madonna - well hung kasbah

Posted by queen_vee on Jan-09-2006 10:52:

It's a TUNE!! Love the muffled, rolling bass at the start.

That Stuart Price is absolutely sensational.

What a great band.

I think that Hung Up would be ok without Madonna. Dont get me wrong, 80s Madonna is great, but her vocals ruin the song and its potential.

I still dance to it though.

I haven't heard it, but I didn't really dig any of the others besides the L.E.X. Massive mix.

ROFL!!!

That's what it sounds like alright

I agree with Mikey Mike (for the first time ever.) I've been spinning I Love New York as an intro tune lately and it bombs the floor.

Posted by Candeeman on Jan-10-2006 00:06:

I totally agree - I think all of the mixes are great!! I remember mentioning this tune when it was first released and people were like, 'WHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAT???????????'
