Which city is better San Francisco or LA?
I'm moving to Cali and have a choice between the two. LA is probably the bigger city but it has its draw backs. I hear San Francisco's public transportation isn't all that great and I'd need a car.
LA hands down....cuz we're getting sasha and zabiela!!!!!!!!!!!
Actually, I think you'd need a car in LA before you need a car in SF. What else are you looking for? The SF guys always seem to be jealous of us
, so I'd say EDM-wise there's more stuff going on down here.

You don't need a car in SF....not really at all. I didn't have any access to a car for the first 5 years I lived here and never really had any complaints.
Tons of peeps I know who do have cars here don't even use them because parking is so hard to find and/or too expensive in the city.
LA certainly has a ton more stuff going on, but the people in SF seems to be more educated about the music. And I think the vibe is better here, mainly because in LA you have sweaty dudes wiping all over you or you are constantly being washed away by the washing machines on the floor.
San Diego
.dJonE.
fuck it....just move to santa barbara. the best place on earth. LOL.
I love san fran, it is really a cool place with tons of stuff (not just edm related) to do. Id move there in a second (after I get a high paying job offer, its expensive)
I don't like LA, they get the best shows, but driving around there sucks. plus its expensive :P.
San Diego rocks. I like that city a lot.
or go to vega......nah, nevermind, go to LA

I was born and raised in Orange County. Moved to SF Bay Area about 4 years ago.
Traffic wise the Bay Area is sooo much better.
The people in the Bay Area seem to be nicer. Not saying L.A people are not but like Bas mentioned the Starbucks people are nicer and smarter lol.
What I do miss about L.A is all the fun stuff. Vegas, amusement parks, and seeing all the deejay talent.

in la there is a shittonne more people and a shittonne more traffic, but with that comes bigger and nicer clubs and more international dj talent (although we got digweed, tenaglia, and svd and you guys didn't! ...for once
). weather, there's no doubt sf wins... the air is always fresh, no smog or haze, never ever gets too hot, and a million microclimates in the bay so if you don't like 60 degree weather you can drive 30 miles east and get 90 degree weather on the other side of the foothills. sf, or anywhere on the penninsula will be more expensive living than most of la though. the night life in la is better, but if you like outdoor activities, sf/bay area wins. surf in santa cruz all day, drive to tahoe and snowboard the same evening--it's been done
. there's yosemite 3 hours east, tahoe 3 hours north, monterey 2 hours south, plus in the city of sf itself there's ALWAYS something happening no matter what you're into. the best part about that is everything's a mile or two drive/walk away, whereas in la it's much more spread out. if you can't live without beaches though, then la wins. the summer heat makes for perfect beach days, though the beaches have been getting more ghetto over the last few years. hb to sd ftw. for the most part la lifestyle is much faster, people are more abrasive, but the chics are hotter. they are both great places in different ways, but i'd say socal fits the young party lifestyle more, and sf is better for the more laidback leisure lifestyle. probably cause our chronic is better!
Having lived in both, I'd have to go with SF. Fantastic clubbers, sublime atmosphere. The City has a magical ambiance that is very unique.
LA hands down...everything down here is better. EVERYTHING except the chronic. think about it though...in LA, you're only like 5-6 hours away from SF, 2 hours from mexico/san diego, 3 hours from vegas, we got beaches, mountains, beautiful ladies, fuckkkkk i love SF but i would much rather live in LA, the biggest difference is the people. everyone up north says 'hella'
