Sasha lately?

anyone seen/heard sasha live lately? i'm going to see him on the 27th and i'm curious as to what i'm going to hear

obviously it will be awesome regardless

dont dooooo it man. he sucks. just send those tickets here. so i can...throw them away for you...

Haven't heard anything from him these last couple of months. The most recent set I've heard with him as at Pure Future Festival in Lithuania. I really enjoyed that set. Although I've only seen him live once this year which was at Dance Valley. I think he was okay. I'd definitely go and see him again.

at this precise moment in time he's got his head up his arse
for some strange reason he seems to think it's acceptable to press the space bar and play a substandard ableton set he recorded a few days earlier than actually mixing live.
he is currently the biggest joke in dance music, possibly bigger than PvD and Tiesto combined
make of that what you will

how dare u put sasha in that group with tiesto and pvd, says alot about u really.

Radio 1 will be airing an exclusive new mix from Sasha, Tworecordedcool live from Home in Sydney, Australia as part of his tour at the end of last year.

The mix will go out on Annie Nightingale's show on 13th January 2006 (1am - 3am)... that's this week... Thursday Night into Friday Morning.

clooovissss....come out come out where ever you are!

was at the set at home in sydney, where sasha was simply awesome. I was expecting him to be a let down as he was last time I saw him, and was more interested in nic fanciuli and james zabiela that night, but sasha was incredible.

Az is just always negative so ignore him. Sasha has been doing his ableton thing lately. I don't mind it but it could be more interesting. I don't like him as much as his global underground 013 Ibiza days.

Sasha is a master in Djing !!!!!! wtvr he uses ableton its his vision of mixing live music !!! And his tracklist is always sickkkkkk !!!!!!

Has he really done this?

That would really be a shame, since when he actually does mix these days its pretty damn good.

The stuff hes been playing lately has been massive. No, he doesnt go crazy with ableton...but his sets are smooth as silk with it...

is sasha really good ?
i have seen him a couple of times in the l.a. area, but is he a big dj ?

i don't really know much about trance .

i saw sasha in bombay about a month ago now, and it was sick, and after spending time with him after his gig, i cannot conclude he has his head up his arse, he was a pretty chill character, stayed after with us for a couple hours after he finished his gig.

sick show.

he wasn't last week. I feel ripped off.

the thing is, az is right and it's all you yanks that are absolutely clueless. i've seen sasha, on average, every 3 months for the last 2 years (and 3 times in 2005) and can definitely conclude he's gone downhill with this ableton thing. his sets are nowhere near as good as they used to be, and neither is his mixing

Umm, PvD uses Final Scratch, not Ableton.

Posted by jeronemango on Jan-10-2006 08:46:

his old sets are way better, sure ableton is a nice tool but trying to do so much with a track is not what the crowd goes to see him for.sasha was about deep progressive with some bigger tunes mixed in... gatecrasher NYE 2000 is a good example...

what?
there's some pictures somewhere of Sasha's ableton set up, there's absolutely no reason for him to be using it, he's not even nearly pushing it to his limits, he's using it because it allows him to be lazy and put no effort into his sets.
someone find the picture comparing sasha's ableton setup, and ritchie hawtins, and you'll see what I mean

dan lites demands satisfaction!

yeah cuz mixing three different tracks simultaneously takes no effort whatsoever. especially when compared to Tiesto's innovative djing

It's like trying to tell them that they didn't win the civil war in botswana, no matter how much everyone knows you're right, they won't listen.

As for the irish dude bitching at Az, well believe me, read his posts on people like tiesto & pvd in the last 2 years, it's not as if he's using them in hero-worship terms, he's just showing how lazy all have become since they can make big money virtually anywhere worldwide on name alone.
