Aurora - Kopi Luwak (6.00 Minutes Trance DEMO).

Hi guys,
I have been working in this Trance tune the last days, I have 6 minutes already, I think I just need 2 more and is done, would apreciate ur feedback considering Trance is not my strong genre at all .
Please, I know I am better producing New Age and Chill Out and that I sux at Trance so avoid stupid comparisions like u are a best New Age producer than a Trance producer :P.
Thanks in advance .

i like it...very chilled. I like how u continued just the beat minus the rythm for a bit, its a nice break.
Frankly i think that your trance is better than a lot of the other trance i hear on it so don't under estimate your skills kuz you gots some

nice track

nice intro melody.

really sounds like a hand played piece

synth pads are lush. really nice melody. and complements the sound at intro.

piano isnt to my liking. nice melody but would like like a more synthy sound?

it oozes kopi style in sounds. i love the plucking bassline! great.

i think overall the track sounds very nice. out of the ordinary.

id love it even more if you used a more generic trancy sound (synth choice wise) cos the melodies you got are enough to keep the track original.

top stuff.

rich

oh and kopi, any feedback on my track now its done?

A bit chillout prog trance i think .You are a great composer kopi, great melodies and ambient. Great sounds, though i think the mix is a bit muffled, could be better equalized. Reminds me of deepwide - canyon a lot (listen it on www.monstertunes.com)....its almost like a remix ... the kick together with piano on it doesnt sound to good, you should use a way deeper kick i think. Melodies are really nice, with some better eq this is a great set opener!

btw i would love to have the full version of this...! because even without better eq i would like to play this is a set opener in one of my upcoming guest mixes

For a guy that doesn't make trance, you did a FINE job with this track!

Your sounds are REALLY well made. Great diversity, which keeps the track interesting. Percs are simple but very effective (which is always the best).

From a DJs standpoint, this track could really only be used as an intro track for a very specific style. The intro is beautiful, but far too long to be used effectively any other way. Also, with such a huuuuuuge intro, you bring the kick in very sundenly... in my opinion, you have so much time to build the listener up till the kick comes in.. to really give some impact... some purpose... know what I mean? The intro seemed anticlimactic... brilliant... but anticlimactic...

Bassline could be a little more pronounced and cutting for my tastes... but still... it's great! It gives a nice rolling/pushing feel to the track. I like it. Not too crazy.

The track does seem to drag on a bit through the track without enough variety. I imagine this will change since it's still a work in progress.

Keep it up.. I look forward to hearing the whole thing..
