Global Gathering Miami actually looks alright

Global Gathering Miami doesn't look half bad so far. Since its spring break they should do alright with all the spring breakers....

FUCK YES!!!! Rob Zombie and Nine inch Nails!!! that would totally fucking own. the rock stage totally grabs my attention.

edit: i would like to go...we'll see..i really wanted to go to cochella this year..but we have guest intown that weekend

My ass would live at the downtown stage... Ferry, Armin and Sasha... Yep that is my wet dream!!! Who is up for taking me down for my first time to Miami?!?

I call shenanigans on this bullshit! It's not really "Global Gathering" if Godskitchen is not involved! This thing is promoted by Angel Musicgroup, Track Entertainment and Space -- what a ripoff!

You can go if you want. But I won't give my money to the sleaze-bags who are responisble for this crap! They clearly don't care about the music, the people, the movment, the technology, or the culture of "Global Gathering." They just want to borrow the brand name and rip off as much cash as they can before they ruin Global Gatherings hard-earned reputation.

Global Gathering of course deserves to lose their reputation if this thing fails, because they obviously permitted this farce and they are probably getting a healthy cut of the profits...

Yeah, let's do an offical "Global Gathering Festival vs. Ultra Music Festival" comparison. They should be easy to compare because so many variables are the same -- both are in the same park, in the same month, cater to similar audiences, etc. For starters we need a side-by-side lineup comparison...

I bet it will quickly become apparent that UMF > GGF

I don't mind big festivals -- heck I love big festivals. I am merely opposed to the scumbag promoters who think that they can throw a Global Gathering when in fact they are not fit to run a hotdog stand. If Godskitchen were throwing this event it would definitely be much better and I would probably go.

For just that reason I have (almost) always voiced my total support for Loveparade SF -- it's the real thing!

First off, Godskitchen must have let them use the name, so in a sense it is the same gathering just in a different location. I highly doubt they are ripping off anything!

Second, it must be nice to live in your world where everything is for the passion of the music and no one has a desire for money. So lets break down your argument: "It's perfectly clear to me that the promoters who are organizing this event are only in it for the money! They clearly don't care about the music, the people, the movement, the technology, or the culture of "Global Gathering." Ok so by this point anyone who makes money off a show or cares about making money off a show is a sleaze-bag. SO the owner of a club that lets a promoter hold an event is a sleaze-bag because he is not going to let the promoter HAVE the space just for the love of the music! And the promoter is a sleaze-bag because he is trying to bring people trough the door so he can pay the DJ and have money to pay the venue. He cares about the money believe me... Oh ya and the DJ, he is a sleaze-bag because he wants to be paid to come play and for his time in producing tracks. So everyone involved in the the music, the movement, the technology, or the culture is a sleaze-bag except for us, the fans! Wait I know some pretty sleazy fans so looks like we are all screwed dude! Looks like you are the only one out of the whole lot that is left unsoiled. Ya, must be nice to live in your world! I for one am for any promoter who brings me the acts that I want to see. AND I for one will go to any show and give my money to any promoter who does bring those DJs. In my world that makes me a fan of the DJ not and elitist who sees the world in a way that is beneath him. My view of course is subject to change when you can find one DJ out of the top 100 who will fly down here and put me a show on in my living room because of his love for the music and the people!

what makes you think godskitchen is not involved with this. The guy who owns godskitchen lives in vegas now and runs everything from here.

Godskitchen and the angel group are the ones who put on the tiesto in concert north american tour. Angel group is involved with this along with godskitchen.

See here is the inherent problem with your thinking... Ya I can find Scott Yee to play in my living room for free... and believe me I would LOVE that... But when 99.9% of any DJ out there gets into the big events and big bookings it inherently turns to money. Not a fault of their own because it is human nature and god only knows after years of work the deserve any money that they get. As such NO big DJ is going to give up a night to play in my living room unless they are like my good friend Scott Yee (who will not forget the little people who support him on his way to the big time!).

So yes I know plenty of DJs who do not care about the money but none that would draw a crowd and two by the time the invest the time to make DJing a full time job it is just that, a job. And that job pays for their time and their mortgage on their house!!!

Hmmm... I guess I was wrong then. I retract the shenanigans. I guess now I might actually have to go down there too, because I said I would if Godskitchen is involved. (And I actually really like Marc Jay and the whole ICE/Godskitchen crew -- they're cool people!)
