Best Clubs in Amsterdam? - Help Please!

I'll be visiting Amsterdam from 17 Jan - 20 Jan and I need advice on clubs and/or coffeshops that have good atmosphere. I read somewhere that Escape is good on Sat, but that they are very selective. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know about other clubs, how they are, but I thought I'd give you a reply, because no one else did yet

Check out the nieuwezijdse voorburgwal (the hookers are there)

and the ouwezijdse voorburgwal..the clubs r there.. (or the other way around )

ya could check bas en rams club.. de waakzaamheid etc.. yall see flyers hanging on walls when yr in amsterdam..

ya might wanna check the rembrandtsplein 2.. 4 a few places 2 go...

and eh right across "the it" is a nice club.. called "timeless"

From a French point of view...

If you only had to discover three clubs :

Go to www.kremlin.nl a massive massive massive club @ marcantti plaza... I went there many times and no deception. Dj Cross & Emjay, Residents dj are fuckin' good and each saturday they welcome a famous International DJ. One of my best night ever was PvD right there. Wicked.



Else a good one too, www.escape.nl, who host the wellknown chemistry parties, www.chemistry.nl. And yes, they are selective, but don't worry, just need smart wear and no trainers.



The Melkweg is also a good one not too big but good www.melkweg.nl




Concerning the IT just mention be4, you should notivce that on Saturday it's gay, and if you're not, i would not advice to go there cos' it really goes nut.... So only, on friday.

And if you need to select your DJ, www.xpander.nl my fav' party agenda...



More information from a tourist point of view :

Else, from a tourist point of view, never buy any stuff in the red light district, they only try to fuck you with fakes, if you want go on pills go straight to the club and ask there to the wide opens eyes all around. Max price would be 15 guilders. Decent price would be from 5 to 10.

You're allowed to come in with 5 pills into Kremlin. They are used to mix E with GHB a lot, if some sells you this take care with the dosis, you will see already used dosis on the ground allmost anywhere in the clubs. Nice fx but could be deadly fx if not correctly used.

My fav coffeshop is the Baba, really closed from central station near the first bulldog you can find from the station. Lovely great music and nice atmosphere. You see a marvellous Buddha elephant into. Just great.

yeps listen to loginz,he knows the right places to go in amsterdam if you r looking 4 good music.
Then you also have the hemkade,thats in Zaandam,nearby Amsterdam.

I truly believe you when you say you're talking about the strip club, but trust me when for a foreigner it's easier to get the name of the clubs instead of the name of the streets...

That just make it a little simple when you're not from amsterdam, and the so called flyers are just flooding tourists, you're just unable to know wether it's good or not, they 're so many than you can even make easily a choice...

strip club is filled with nice black chiggas.. just tell the bouncer(s) that you know "henkie_henk" (hehe better not lol.. )

so you guys cant read streetnames lol? Almost every Amsterdammer can show you where rembrandtsplein nieuwezijdse etc is So it shouldnt be a real pain in the ass.. but yr the one with the experience as a foreigner Hope ya like it.. (well i dont really care but this was for showing my hospitality)

Yeah, we're nasty little perverse... But we love Amsterdam, on a tourist way for sure, but i would kill myself or at least health if i was living there too much temptations....

I remember trying to find Marcanti plaza first time from central station by car it was really a pain in the ass... Now, we do taxi, faster and cheaper than getting fine by parking anywhere...

Nah i wasnt insinuatin (is that a word?) that all of you are commin to holland for the xxx stuff... the strip club just came to mind.. since i once had a party there (yes normal party ;-)

haha.. so yr french yeah.. people might send ya in the wrong direction hehe..

ya knew we even have people working especially for you..

these people drive in cars and signal french cars to follow them.. We are so nice and friendly to everyone..

Yeah , those dealers in cars are weird stuff, the first time you go to holland...

But by now, i guess the police as crushed on them, i 've heard that sometimes police was driving Cars with french plates to bust the dealers. Make them stop and underarresting them.

This should have work well, cos now beetween Antwerpen and Breda, i can't see anymore this powerfull sport cars with big blokes running after you...

But yes, that's a nice way to say "bienvenue in holland".....

Just so unbelievable, this PvD, i went there for Scott bond Vs Tiesto first time i heard Sauna Mirage with such a fuckin' fast pitch.... Massive....

Kremlin rules & roxxxxxxx. Hell, if we could have such superclubs like this in France. Each time i go to marcanti i have to make 1200 km in a Week-end to see them (from paris). Sometimes, it's hard, sometimes, it's easy with Energy .

Be sure o could make thousands of km to see PvD and i'm usually living @ 1100 km from Kremlin.

But i go for it. w8ing to make the next dancevalley, and i'll come with my car cos' of the mess with the bus => a tragedy for many clubbers as i heard.

But yes i'm in for TE, massive French and international TA meeting point.

Maybe i gonna order a TA shirt for the occasion...

Thank you for all the suggestions! I posted the same request for help in the Germany forum for my trip to Berlin the following week, but no one responded. Apparently, people from Holland are much more friendly!
