Flashdance whores unite!

I love that song. I don't know why, since it's cheesy and commercial. But I do love it. Too bad Deep Dish only made shit before and after.

Anybody else?

What? Say Hello is great, far better than Flashdance, which I never really liked.

I don't really like George Is On album. Its not even house it looks like soft rock to me. best track of the album : sexy ill.
but deep dish does some pretty good remix.
+ i saw sharam live at new year's eve in montreal it was really good but sharam has ABSOLUTELY NO interaction with the crowd.

Sleep Dish make me fall asleep more than most. Anything they've done after the remix of de'lacy - hideaway hasn't gone close for me

Posted by Redd on Jan-11-2006 12:15:

It was ok the 3 first time I heard it, and the Fuck Me I'm Famous Mix revived it for a couple of listens. After that it got really really boring

Sorry, I have to add my absolute disgust at Flashdance. I reckon it is utter shite, crap vocals (singing about crap), crap melody, there is zero progression in the song - it doesn't have a point it just keep droning on.

Pure shite.

deep dish have become really shit, both in DJ-ing and production terms. i saw them do an 8hr set in London in the summer, it was a sleep fest. and their productions are very poor, including george is on.

i first heard flashdance well over a year and a half ago now.. it was really a banger when it came out.. really out of nowhere.. a great addition to a lot of sets..

then it just became soo huge and so played.. but that one night where i first heard it, it was gold.

The first time I heard it I was blown away. Of course then it got played in every club, on the radio and even on MTV dance solidly for like 6 months, so it got old fairly quickly.

Still a nice tune though, simple and catchy.

hated it from day one

I donno, I like mixing in flashdance....but only for like a minute or two. Its so repetitive that I can't stand to listen to it for too long. Say Hello...Im not digging this one either...a little too soft I guess.

Posted by iammesol on Jan-12-2006 01:40:

classic track for sure, it'll always get me groovin, but if one more dj drops it i'm gonig to go up to the booth and drop him

Posted by RapidFire on Jan-12-2006 02:05:

love the radio edit but the extended mix kills the vocals and its way too repetitive for my tastes.

Always liked it. Probably my favorite "Top 40 breakout" track of the past two years.

And Say Hello was boring.

Posted by Plump Funk on Jan-12-2006 08:39:

that tune is all about timing, last time i heard it was a year ago(and way too many times) then heard it again at a top 40 club not too long ago moves started coming out of me.

the tune is a classic and will be played 10 years from now.

I'll only touch the Meat Katie remix.

Yeah, now id def have to agree with you, but when i fist busted in the record store and there was one last promo of the original (this was about a month before the full release, maybe, it was a while ago) I had to have it!

Dreams FTW

I liked Flashdance for all of five minutes. It might have had a better groove had it been produced better, but alas Say Hello is far superior and even that doesn't go anywhere.
