Need Help - Male or Female!!!

Hi all TA's

I need serious help!

I am applying for a job and the contacts name is

Madhu Talwar

is this person male or female?

I need to know so i can address the person properly in my cover letter!

Please let me know if you know!

Thanks!

D

Madhu is a Indian name ... commonly used for females.
Talware means sword.

Female sword.

dood ... good luck

*edit*

i was just informed that Madhu is common with males as well in India so ummm best thing i would suggest D is that call the company or have Lilly call the company and ask for Madhu and when he or she answers the phone you would know. you can just hang up and say wrong number.

Hahahah oh man this is just way too easy.

You could just address it to "To Whom it may Concern" or something...

Posted by DigiNut on Jan-12-2006 03:22:

You could always either (a) use his/her first name, or (b) come up with an obscure question and call him/her.

Don't do that - it'll look like a form letter that's been sent out to a hundred companies. It may seem trivial but many employers and HR people really hate that.

It could be a transvestite.

Then you're screwed.

Ya, you're fcuk'd.

Google image search for Madhu;

It's 50/50.

I encounter this all the time in my line of work. I normally have my assistant call to "confirm contact information" before I call.

I've only known one Mahdu (Madhu may be different...), and the individual was a male.

Generic is best; this is professional, not personal. Besides, it could end up on someone else's desk in the future. All of the consulting firms I've dealt with suggested and/or approved use of the title of "Interviewer"

do u have the phone number?

block your number and ask for him/her and ask if its him/her your speaking to and hang up.
