Binary Finary "live" Comes To Atlanta

I know this is more than two weeks out but this is a very special event for all us trance heads so I wanted to give all of you a specific heads up. Lets use this thread to share some of our memories that we all carry from this duo.

Matt Laws and Stuart Matheson are the writers in this unique project.

Growing up with Tron, Hackers and the explosion in computing � both were destined to use the technology that surrounded them to create the stunning musical soundscapes.

Through the creative use of software applications fused with various pieces of hardware they have been able to streamline the musical process into a sublime and emotional play for the listener to enjoy.

The greatest challenges have been in the preparation stages. Two years alone were spent on sampling and creating original sounds to use for the forthcoming albums and live sets.

The initial release '1998' was an epic trance monster that took Binary Finary worldwide within a year and became an all time classic overnight. The track charted in many countries as the Djs kept pumping the music out worldwide � Judge Jules amoung others used the tune to keep the crowds happy. Paul Van Dyk wanted the European clubbers to experience '1998' and remixed a successful version that took Binary Finary to the top of the German Dance charts. Kay-Cee also made an excellent chilled house mix that was eventually to become the soundtrack to the Binary Finary Video and enter into history as the first piece of English instrumental electronic music that had charted in the primarily vocal based music scene.

The track was picked up by Kevin Robinson while he was A&R at Positiva (EMI) who unleashed this sonic assault on the senses to the masses of clubbers who had known the tune not knowing the people responsible for this monster. They took a great record and brought it out from the underground into the light for everyone to enjoy.

The final summer before the millennia saw some of the greatest parties and festivals this planet may have ever known, and Binary Finary has made sure that it was in every tasteful Djs bag. The story continues to the present day when all the music being created is crafted around the listener � to give the experience that will affect peoples deepest being and hopefully inspire them to reach for their dreams.

Binary Finary has passion for sonic soundscapes, rhythmic funk and feeling at the ever increasing border of musical expression, creating more musical universes for our children's children to play within. Binary Finary is run on the principal of a meritocracy � where each individual puts what they can in, and gets rewarded for their effort.

If it's 18+ I may go... but then again, I always say this

What is your deal? So what there is a double standard here? Its OK for Hagen to promote his World of D&B tour because you love him so much? I mean this is a freaking trance site but I cant even post a heads up for a show that every trance fan out there will appreciate. Scott himself said that if there is an epic event we can post a teaser before the two weeks out. Thats what I did. If you notice I havent even created a thread for any of our upcoming events in the next two weeks exept for this. Sheesh...

You know, I have tried to be a part of this site but whatever. I will keep my Surface posts on the events page from this day forth and give up trying to ever connect with you.

No one is crying or bitching its that your double standards suck.

With that said, I was incorrect in stating that Scott said we could post major events more than two weeks out. He said that we could if there were multiple headliners and there is not.

This posting was more so from myself, from on TA to another and not from Surface as a promotion.

So for the record I am sorry for breaking the "rules".

BTW - the reason I didnt post on hagens thread is that negativity does no ones event or the DJ's involved any good. I can accept the fact that there are people who wont like you but its not in me instigate something over a computer on a public forum where it can negativly impact an event. I would much rather deal with it in person. Late...

Hagen if I see out in public we can hash this out face to face but its not worth it to create this drama on the public forum. It does no one any good or the shows to see promoters going at it.

If you want to name call, go for it but I am going to be bigger than that and not stoop to your level. Again, if we see each other out we can deal with it then.

i remember j00f was full as fuk? and he had a blast playing here. lol @ bickering, which would of never happened with rules were followed.

There wouldn't have been any drama if you weren't being a pretentious asshole Mario...sorry man you gotta get called out...you don't run this forum....and it's not your place to tell someone what they can or can not post...as for the promoter drama...you're both making yourselves look like unprofessional idiots. This is coming from someone that has been to both of your shows, and has had a great time. Seeing the bickering honestly doesn't make me to want to come to either of your shows. This matter needs to be handled in private and not in front of paying customers.

im not telling him waht he can or can not post, wait actually i am becasue there are rules which are written on top of the page. they were put there becasue he flooded the forums with shit, only thing he has to do is follow them, he was doing it and asked me not to bitch, so what did i do? not bitch in his threads... and now he breaks the rules pointing it out to him, i dont want another wave of 10 threads of all his shows in the forums, even if these forums move along slow

Just ignore his threads...simple...let Scott deal with it.

I guess its my fault for having over 60 shows during the past 18 months. There has been alot to promote and I have been selcetive in what to put in the front page. If you notice there isnt even a thread for the Icey Show, Secret Society event or Charles Feelgood show, all that are coming in the next two weeks.

I do that out of respect for this board but when I book a show with "TA's" in mind and announce a preview you want to jump all over my ass for posting info about the group, not even really about the event.

You say your a "Trance Addict", for TA's Binary Finary defines that but they may be before your time. So for the for the record I hope you do check them out as its an epic event for all trance fans.

Look, I respect this board along with all of you on it and I am sorry for posting events in the past. I do alot for trance not only in this town but as an artist and have built my life around this sound that is suppossed to be bringing us all together. Maybe I missed that mark with all of you because I didnt really know about this site, or properly introduce myself until I started Surface. But again thats in the past which is where I hope we can put this whole issue.

Mario, I know you mean well but, I do sense a bit of favoritism on the people you flame. Which usually is Liquified or Surface. Chill with the haterade because you are contributing to the "childish bollocks."

As for the promoters...
I know you each have the other's phone number so pick it up and settle it. There is no need to bring it to the forum.

The rule that Jonathan is referring to was really meant for massives and multiple headliner events. As pivotal as Binary Finary was to the scene in the late 90s, I don't feel he falls under the rule. I will add his date on the calendar.
